Since Legends of Runeterra is Canon that means they are dating or have romantic interests with each other. So what if you release lore explaining that on the most perfect date to do it i.e. February 14. You guys have teased it so many times on all these years but have never made a story or lore giving a detailed explanation or anything about what's going on with their relationship.
So
Rito pls
HazeVictory7 votesOh please, Garen can fuck off.
He's been the most boring character in game and in lore. I couldn't care care less about his stories.
Pombagira7 votesAgreed!!!
It's such a cute ship honestly.
Johnny El Rojo6 votesHonestly, I would be satisfied with anything about in general. She used to be LoL's poster child. But since the reboot of the lore, we have barely heard anything of her.
GreenLore6 votesTo be honest I feel like they'll first try to resolve the Lux-arc and the whole mage-hunting. And at this point in the lore the 2 haven't even met(at least not that we know anything about that), so I dunno if a single story could make them fall in love so fast.
AnotherPurple3796 votesThose are some good points. I really want to know how Katarina and Garen somehow get together, but one story would probably be too short, unless it includes a lot of time skips. I certainly hope at least that they don't fall in love in the span of a short story, or else I'll be really mad.
At the very least, a story about how they meet might suffice.
HalfTangible2 votesThere was WIP footage of an animated short between the two a while back. The classic 'handcuffed to each other w/o a key' scenario. IIRC it was scrapped (thus why we saw it) though there was a lot of support to see it finished.
AnotherPurple3791 votesI know that. But since it was scrapped, I don't consider it canon. Maybe something similar to that will happen later on, but as of right now, there's nothing. They haven't meet at all yet.
Who even knows if the first time they meet is going to be similar at all to that cinematic?
King Lego5 votesI'd give my own life for this to even happen. Been wanting this to happen for years ever since I found out the 2 champs were interested in each other (old lore even).
Beacon Academy4 votesRiot misses these opportunities all the time, so I wouldn't count on it.
Another example is literally the other thread with Jhin's fourth birthday.
Katarina Gremοry4 votesNo nothing is there stop making stuff up and nothing will ever happen. god these cringe kids making up their fanfics is so annoying, there is nothing there now mess off. nothing will ever happen period

literally the first interaction, because someone as stubborn as you clearly wouldn't look into it yourself
GreenLore1 votesFor some reason your video starts at the 11 seconds mark, right after the interaction between Garen and Kata.

if people don't have common sense to set the video to the start before watching it what can I do to help them?

Wow, someone is salty...
Hawt2 votesRiot should expand on the Garen and Katarina love story. I wonder what Garen or Katarina would do if Garen got Katarina pregnant. Would Garen leaven Demacia to be with Katarina and their child or would it be Katarina leaving Noxus. It's possible both would leave their respective faction to be align with no one, but themselves. How would other characters react like Lux or Draven.
Speaking of Katarina, is the Cassiopeia still Katarina's sister. I personally, think Riot should rewrite Cassiopeia's story to not be related to Katarina. It seems so far fetch that a humanoid female was turned into a snake lady.
Kiwi Lemonade1 votesI'm more interested in the Darius and Garen ship to be honest. They both bring the issues of the respective kingdoms to light and go off to live in exile together in a cabin in the woods.
Katarina is assigned to kill Lux but instead falls for her and saves her life as Sylas is about to kill her, and kills Sylas instead.
The two take a vacation to a lake Lux and her brother used to go to forget about their problems, and Lux and Katarina meet Darius and Garen. They sit around a campfire and catch up on their lives. Lux and Katarina share their stores and final fight with Sylas, and Darius and Garen share theirs about trying to learn about Decius, a man Darius believed to have been his son.
Beacon Academy5 votesSounds like a terrible fanfic
