3/25 PBE Update

This is a long post and you don't have to read it. I suggest opening the imgur and having the two windows side by side.

In order of the album, these are my opinions.

  1. upgrade
  2. upgrade
  3. upgrade
  4. upgrade
  5. downgrade. It doesn't look western, it looks like he's some god who just emerged out of an apocalypse. I feel like it defeats the purpose of the skin.
  6. downgrade. it looks too cartoon like, and the runes around him have nothing to do with Vancouver.
  7. downgrade. It's much less detailed, doesn't make sense since the other champs in the new splash aren't in the skin line, and makes Amumu look mad, not sad.
  8. indifferent. Both are nice.
  9. downgrade. I like how they tried to include an annie skin, but amumu looks like he's in middle school and is made by someone of that age art-wise :/
  10. downgrade. Annie doesn't fit her in game model and they show much less of the tibbers outfit. Less detail in general.
  11. downgrade. Much less detail in background and shading and looks like it's more cartoony.
  12. downgrade. The original skin fits the theme much better with the ring and black eye, and the new skin makes blitz look like he just emerged out of a marvel movie.
  13. indifferent
  14. upgrade
  15. downgrade. Much less detail, way more bright (hazy is the theme), and his face looks really unnatural.
  16. upgrade (but I'd prefer they keep the logo on the wings since it's the red baron)
  17. downgrade. For the simple fact that I like the old skin, and mundo looks really unnatural face-wise in the new splash.

  21. downgrade. As another post mentioned it looks like the clickbait picture for someone's mmo on the ad sidebar on sites.

  28. downgrade. The background to the temple seems lazy, the eyes on the face and the face in general don't make sense, and what's up with the underboob.
  29. indifferent. The new splash is much less detailed, but I like it.

  36. downgrade. I really like the background and broader neck/shoulders of the old splash.

  43. downgrade. it's very detailed, very good art, but it belongs in an mmo, not LoL.

I don't like the new Masquerade Evelynn. In general, I hate the splashes which contort champions into completely backbreaking poses like this. The old splash had a very nice "three point landing" pose. It was also much more evoking of a Vampire: The Masquerade feel (which I think is the theme that the skin was going for.)

That being said, the new splash is certainly more detailed and higher quality than the current one. It has much better detail, especially her hair, and it has better shading / lighting. It's really just the pose that I object to.

(As an aside, this is my most-used skin for my most-played champion.)

for me its: Dynasty Ahri - Upgrade Midnight Ahri (you left that one out lol) - Uprage Stinger Akali - Upgrade Crimson Akali - indifferent, i like both the current one and this one Silverfang Akali - Upgrade Longhorn Alistar - Downgrade, I'm sorry but i like the current one better Vancouver Amumu - Downgrade, looks cartoonish Emumu - Downgrade, cartoonish and Amumu looks mad, not sad Re-Gifted Amumu - indifferent, this one looks good tho Almost-Prom King Amumu - Downgrade Annie in Wonderland - Upgrade? Everyone has different taste.....(:з」∠) 10 up 11 diff 12 diff 16 diff(prefer they keep the logo on the wings , too) 17up 20 diff 26 up 31 diff 32 diff( face covered, but it looks cool) 33 down(I really like the current one (´;ω;) 36 diff 38 diff(all good,yeah...but the new one looks sooooo cool!(・ω・´) 39 diff(but in the new one MF looks so sexy!ヽ(✿ﾟ▽ﾟ)ノ 43 up "it's very detailed, very good art" so why the hell not(╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻ 46 down firing head looks funny XDDDDDD Others I feel same as you...

i like most, but some could do with tweaks. i hate nightraven fioras and sakura karmas tho.

My opinion: 1.&2.I agree they look better than before 3.Indifferent,I think both splashes have their pros and cons 4.upgrade 5.indifferent,while the new one looks a bit less western it is more detailed 6.upgrade,I mean it looks far from good,but come on,the old one looks extremely horrible 7.indifferent,I think both have their good sides 8.upgrade,the old one looks less detailed than the new one. 9.indifferent,I don't really like either of them... 10.upgrade,you say annie doesn't fit her ingame model,but look at the old splash where annie still has the football-head of her old model... 11.indifferent,it looks more cartoony,but annies proportions are a bit more in-line 12.indifferent,you are right that the old one looks more fitting for the theme,but the new one looks much more detailed,however it lacks the blue eye,which is part of the ingame model 13.&14.I'd say both are upgrades,especially arctic ops caitlyn 15.downgrade,the old one looks more classy 16.upgrade,though I don't like both of them. 17.upgrade,both splash arts look horrible(old one is simply bad,the new one at least is drawn nicely,even though the way mundo sits there looks like he is bored) 18.-20.upgrade 21.indifferent,I think both splash arts have their good sides.The new one looks a bit like a vampire,which is odd,but I like the general pose with the ravens. 22.&23.upgrade,mainly because the old ones are so extremely outdated 24.indifferent 25.-27.upgrade,i actually like the superhero-vibe I'm getting from infiltrator irelia 28.upgrade,I know a lot of people don't like this one,but the old one simply looks so.....grumpy... 29.downgrade,I think the current one fits the skin theme much better 30.indifferent,I don't think this was done out of censorship(after all karthus doesn't have a skullface anymore and they are fine with depicting his pentakill skin normally),I think it is mostly a reference to the old chinese karthus because china was used to karthus having no face. 31.upgrade,his face was originally covered because thats what the chinese phantom karthus looked like.However when Karthus got a VU,they did base the new phantom karthus on his chinese version(because it was originally just a chroma) 32.upgrade,looks much more detailed,the face is covered because thats what he looked like in his old chinese model 33.-35.upgrade 36.indifferent,the old one looked really bad,but I really hate Yis foot in the new one. 37.upgrade 38.downgrade,the new background is rather blant and it doesn't match the ingame model that much 39.downgrade,I agree it looks less detailed 40.-43.upgrades,I have to say that general wukong here reminds me alot of Sunwukong from smite 44.downgrade,looks less like the model and overall kinda off... 45.upgrade 46.indifferent(both are pretty much the same pose) 47.upgrade,though its kind of a bummer that it doesn't resembles his actual ingame appearance that much.
