Zaun's almost certainly next given what the Piltover event already directly implies in the way the microsite's laid out.
Maybe we'll get something Demacia related this coming year considering Galio's VGU. We'll see.
Please Bandle City after Zaun. We have no clue what yordles are up to, how they come to life and how they learn about humans. PLEASE
Ionia because to this day we don't know how any of these wars happened without the league. That, or Noxus.
Most signs point to the Void getting the next big lore event since so many Void-related content has been released with Shurima and Mount Targon. Once we get done with Piltover/Zaun, I think we are heading to Icathia.
Literally every nation except Freljord, Shurima and Bilgewater.
Noxus and Demacia. Ionia. Bandlecity. Icathia and the Void are all likely candidates for the future.
Piltover is currently the only one who got a summoner icon, but each other later on will get one.
I think they'll do Ionia after.
Also, I think the south of runeterra is heavily unexplored, they should probably add a city amidst the kumungu jungle so that lore coming from there is interconnected with the world as well, also, we don't have a place dedicated to nature, a huge tree that people habitate or something! Bandle city is also surrounded by the jungle so it could be like the even that's ongoing right now, it's starting on piltover but it ends on zaun
My prediction is first the obvious Zaun event happening sometime after Christmas, and then possibly a new Noxian Champion to introduce more Noxus lore? (Given that the Noxus page on Universe has loads of new details that we were never introduced to before the Universe website) and then a Demacian event with Galio's VGU.
Well starting with 
they pretty much gave every big nation who has a champion that got a VGU a lore update(they did this for Taric,Yorick and will most likely do it for WW as well).
So Zaun will probably be next and after that Demacia seems pretty likely,because of the Galio VGU.
And since 
and 
are 2 of the most requsted champions for a VGU,there is a good chance that they'll be the next projects after Warwick and Galio,so Noxus and the freljord have a pretty good chance to get a lore update.
The void has relatively few champs,so I guess they might update them as soon as they get a new champion.
Bilgewater is in a similar boat,since they have only 1 champion without an updated lore with 
(the universe site doesn't count 
as a bilgewater champ anymore,so I dunno if he'd be included)
Though I agree that Bandle city is probably the one faction that needs an update the most,so if they get a new champion next year,they might also receive a lore update(in general it looks like they plan to udpate the yordles all together,I mean Heimerdinger and Ziggs were left out of the piltover update,even though the universe site lists them as piltover champs).
All in all,I kinda think Ionia has the worst chances to receive a lore update next year,I mean they don't have many champs on the VGU list who are a priority(
was said to be kinda high on the priority list,but she doesn't seem to be that much requested),they have more champs than any other faction and in general I'd say it would make sense to update Noxus before Ionia,because Ionia is heavily influenced by Noxus,but not the other way around(with Riven pretty much being the only noxus champ to be affected by the war)
Void will be the very last event to come, so... Ionia goes too much with Noxus, so they would put them somehow connected...
Hmmm, the order will probably be: Zaun as the next one -> Bandle city -> Ionia (with hints to noxus lore) -> Noxus vs Demacia (this will be a BIG thing. These are the biggest players in the world. If anything, that's one mega-event worth.) -> Void that shall consume all and all factions have to temporarely combine their powers to fight them back.
Randomly sprinkled into there: Kumungu and smaller regions, that only have one or two champions.
