I like the idea and it makes since now that he is from Shurima but it just seems bland. It seems that you were going for the scorpion in "golden/crystal armor" look but the main body just seems bland. Yeah the black makes the gold stand out but it needs a bit more color. Give the body or at least more of the tail some color.
The "main body" needs more color and the armor should be brighter.
They may still have time to tweak some textures, Arclight Vaynes needs some help as well on the PBE.
I agree, when compared to the other GotS skins it comes off rather plain. Maybe more of the turquoise to decorate the shell just abit would be an appropriate approach?
Maybe adding jewels to his tail?
The problem is the textures. The gems look like the armor that looks like the body. There's no differentiating the materials. It's just kind of the direction of the new art style unfortunately.
