"One element of the Harrowing stalled. Reports of a large figure encased in a rusted diving suit seen in the heart of the fighting."

So was Nautilus fighting for or against the Harrowing? Personally, I read it as he was against the Harrowing, but his lore doesn't seem to support that. What do you all think?

I'm totally not planning out a smurf who only uses champions that would be part of the harrowing or anything

Pretty sure he was fighting against it. It says the Black Mist was stalled. So its likely Naut was the reason why.

How do we know that the black mist doesnt expand beyond just the surface of the water. For all we know, Nautilus may have been effected by it but not enough to lose some aspects of his old self.

You know, there's also the possibility he was just caught up in the battle.

Like, Naut was swimming by when the black mist attacked. He's big. He's powerful. If something dares attack him, he is going to fight it. He didn't do it for Bilgewater. He didn't fight cause the mist is evil. He fought back because it is hostile, and he's going to fuck shit up.

His lore has to be re-written beacause of the retcon. I know there going to make him generic like Dota, but hey that's a good bye to one of my favorite champions

He might be out for revenge because people abandoned him, but the lore never said he is beholden to anything. His curse probably had nothing to do with the shadow isles.

Maybe he was just fighting undead because they were "annoying" him.

I think he was fighting against it. His retcon lore will likely change the black goo that pulled him under into the black mist, so it would make sense for him to fight against it I guess
