Of the 12 champions released after Zac, 7 of them have gotten a new skin. That's more than half. We understand maybe Zac isn't easy to make skins for, since they could be seen as recolors, but why not something such as...

Super Zac - He even has a line about this. Put Zac in a generic super hero costume.

Debonair Zac - He does say he wants a suit, never specifies which one, alternatively could add to the Secret Agent line.

Arcade Zac - Zac would be pretty perfect for a super retro looking skin, complete with choppy/8bit animations, tongue in cheek references to his blobs being power ups/random fruits, passive respawn could have 1-up somewhere, etc.

Secret Weapon is an example of what we probably don't want. Stuff like bubblegum/desert/elemental would just be recolors, which was the main reason why people were not thrilled over his release skin. Just put the guy in a costume, give em a cape, and let him rock~

Of the 46 champions released after Yorick, 40 of them have gotten a new skin. Yorick's last skins were his launch skins, Pentakill and Undertaker Yorick. Come the 22nd of June, it'll have been 4 years since then. That's only 2 months away.

I understand that some champions are difficult to make skins for and Yorick's current rigging and kit doesn't make for many exciting skins, but COME ON. I'm not even a Yorick player and I know that nearly 4 years for a post release skin is just saddening.

I thought pentakill was a post launch skin. Damn. Poor Yorick ;-; He needs a new skin too, because I love Yorick!

The challenge being that, until they have a firm idea what direction hey want to take Yorick's character fantasy in, they'll have a hard time making a skin that stays thematically appropriate after a rework. I think Mr. Mori has a while longer to wait :(

(Personally, I'd love a miner Yorick... Give him a pickaxe, the ghoul workers get helmets, would be so cash XD)

I just wanted to pop in and comment! Yes, Zac is a special snowflake that requires a lot of work when it comes to creating skins for him. But just because he's difficult doesn't mean we won't make a skin for him. Also keep in mind that we slot skins for patches throughout the year, so specific skins may be slotted for specific events later in the year.

We want to make the right Zac skin for Zac players, we don't want to rush something out that will just end up being a band aid.

Who knows,maybe they already started working on a ZAC skin. The skin team won't randomly come to the boards & say,"We're making a skin for champ A."That's not how they work,I've read enough KateyKhaos comments to know that.

So yes that may be what it sounds like but is that the truth? Have we started on a skin? Maybe, maybe not? I simply can't talk about specifics, and that has been consistent for every new champion and skin.

I wanted to comment on this thread because I've seen a lot of these popping up as of late, and I want players to know that we've heard them. But what I won't do is get players hopes up by giving dates or info that may change, that's not fair to them.

But I propose this every time without reply:

Can you please simply just say, "yes, a skin is in the works but no promises as to when."

Is that too much to ask instead of the severe ambiguity we always receive?

I feel at this point, ZAC players deserve a little "it's in the works" sort of response.

I know you can't do ETA's or make promises but c'mon, please can we just hear a "yes, it's in development; no I can't say what or when."

That's the least you could do I think!

While I got you for a second, any chance you could poke IronStylus to please respond about how the Quinn MTU/TU conversation follow-up went?

And I've never gotten a reply about the TU recolor on Full Metal Pantheon (from silver-tone to gunmetal)... I'm desperate to see that one changed or else I'd really, really like a refund because the whole reason I liked it was its silver coloring so that color-retcon really kills it for me. Whaddaya say?! :D

it is possible that the skin won't be good enough (the textures could turn out to be impossible with that colour scheme or the clothing just can't be made to look good, for example). If this happens then the skin could be held back another year. If Riot Galetta were to confirm that a skin were in the works and a problem like this were to occur, what do you think the community would do in 6 months? Maybe even fewer?

It isn't fair to ask him (or her?) to commit to something even as vague as "yes, something is being done". Come on... you know how certain members of the community can get.

A lot of people really do blame Riot when they have been "lied to". They take "We are working on a Zac skin" as "An awesome Zac skin will be out in two weeks! We promise. It is practically finished now". And sometimes they issue death threats over film quotes... I don't think that it is fair to put a Rioter through that, so I understand why they can't share information. It sucks, but yeah.

May I ask a question in reply? Should we, as consumers, care about the "whys" and only focus on the results?

As a (very patient) Yorick fan, forever waiting a new skin, I can understand that Yorick's model is among the most difficult to create skins for. Yorick has multiple models to animate and create and the poor guy is just a mess, otherwise...

That said, I see that Zyra and Elise have had new skins since their releases and I have to wonder "Where's the love?" Same goes with Zac, Zilean and every other champ forever waiting for Riot love.

So, in other words, you can give me every excuse under the sun why Zac, Zilean, Yorick, Talon, Mordekaiser, Kassadin, etc doesn't have a new skin and I very well may believe you. However, should I care in the end?

Due to Zac's appearance being difficult to adjust without turning him into an obscure shape, have you considered working along the lines of Malphite ?

Somewhat recolor-ish and a lot of VFX and SFX to complete such as the Glacial and Mecha skins.

Do consider creating skins intensive on the VFX/SFX part instead of the model. I for one care more about them than the model itself!

Zac doesn't need a skin, come on already! Like who would even buy a Zac skin if they released one? Teemo skins and Annie skins are where it's at. Jeepers creepers you guys!

they've stated the problem with those its the clothing and stuff thats hard to add to his model as well as many other things that make it hard

I can't help but look at Zac and think of Mrs. Incredible, more specifically the way her suit just sort of... Goes along with her various bodily contortions. While his actual body profile would remain largely the same, his appearance would be altered. Given that Zac's profile is already changing with every one of his abilities, in both shape and size, I personally am less interested in changing his overall outline, and more interested in how he looks while moving and farming, as well as how his moves feel.

Either I want a chuckle when I look at my champ (pool party, snowdown skins) or I want to up the serious business factor (battlecast/nanite, elemental). I feel like if you want to change more than colouration, you really do need to start looking at sounds or particles on his moveset, as that is where his appearance becomes more defined than "flubber stand-in wih an attitude."

It would, but remember that Zac's entire body is goo and is expanding + shrinking constantly. Making that NOT look horrible would be extremely hard and nonsensical even for this game (Why is Zac's suit changing into a sphere? Why is it growing bigger on his biceps, then shrinking again? How the hell do you even have a bow tie there?)

It's no more technically complex than Kha'Zix and it's probably not any more technically complex than base Zac. I don't know the details of his size growth but I sort of doubt it's just a scale up. It could be, though. Cho's is I think.

But anyway, technically, it's a mix between Kha'Zix and base Zac - thus doable with current Riot dev tools.

It is however a lot of extra work to model and animate.

Actually, a desert Zac would be pretty cool. I can see him turning into sand instead of being blobby, kinda like Azir's soldiers. He would actually have a lot of flow to him if they made a Shurima Zac Skin.
