About Ionia... (And Supports)
Anybody else think it's funny, or ironic, that Ionia literally only has two support champions?
and
Ionia is the faction with the most champions, and in the universe, the entirety of their culture is about harmony, balance, and peace, both metaphorically, and literally. They are a people that exude compassion and spirituality, seeking not to destroy, but understand. Yet, for some reason, they have the most assassin/fighters out of any region, and again, while having more champions than any other region, a grand total of 18 champions, only 2 are supports.
It just seems a little contradictory.
Weirdly enough, Ionia is also tied with Targon for having the most support champions out of any region, with Targon having
and
. Although Targon might soon beat Ionia for most support champions once Soraka gets a full lore update, since it's basically stated that she'll be in the Targon faction.
Something else I found out while looking all this up is that support champions, including mages and tanks that are considered supports, like
, have the most unaffiliated champions out of any class. Zyra, Morgana, Nami, Ivern, Zilean, they're all in the "Runeterra" faction, which is just the official way of saying they don't belong anywhere specifically. Many factions don't even have support champions in their ranks, with the Void, Piltover, Noxus, and Shurima not having a single support.
and
have relation with Ionia as well.
