Honestly? I want an old hag for a champion. We've got 125+ champions in a fantasy setting, but we don't have a single one remotely resembling a classical witch.

Well the last 5 champs were actually rather even in terms of gender. 1 human male Ekko 1 inhuman male TahmKench (if you could even say tahm is male,I mean he is a unique being,so saying he is male is a bit of a stretch) 1 who is neither male nor female Bard 1 inhuman female RekSai 1 human female Kalista (yeah she is undead,but her body clearly resembles a humans)

Anyway we did receive much more male champs in the last few years,so I think a new female champ would be nice.

Actually Bard's isn't male by sex,but by gender(as why he was refeared to as HE ).

If we're going to be that technical, then Bard isn't male by sex or by gender. You'll notice the English language defaults to male pronouns when dealing with 'genderless' constructs unless we explicitly go out of our way to identify them as female. It's a fault of the language, really: we don't have a third pronoun structure for genderless/sexless beings. Arguably we don't even have a fourth structure for hermaphrodites, so the two existing ones of male/female have a lot of co-opting going on.

Indeed. The word 'it' has the connotation of not being a person. Need a less binary system of words for sex and gender.

Though, I would call Bard a he even without that. The sounds he makes and his appearance may be strange and 'inhuman' but they are reminiscent of 'male' in the culture I live in.

TFW Sejuani doesn't count as a well built muscular human female.

This games character designs are really diverse. The weirdest thing is when they turned Soraka from ass-ugly Hillary Clinton goat into hentai-fuel anime girl but aside from that I don't think this game is all that fan service focused. Look at Fiora (ignore the new VU), Fiora has no fanservice in her design, sure shes lean and thin but if you're a master swordsman you have to be athletic. Some art work has been pretty quizzical, mostly the spinal bending splash arts, but pin that on the art team.

That being said, I would like a new female champ but not a "stronk indepedet wymyns" but rather an old hag/witch like someone before me said. I think that would be really unique and have a lot of personality potential to work with.

I want an old crone/witch if we're getting a human female (Lissandra doesn't quite hit the mark). We already have some female warrior types, though they could stand to have more prominent musculature.

the thing is, human females are actually genetically prone to not appear as muscular, even when they become comparably strong to a male because even when very strong they are genetically inclined towards higher body fat percentages, which makes them not achieve the same "Chiseled" look a guy gets. when a woman gets that, she's usually on the verge of being underweight (like a lot of distance runners) or so disgustingly muscular that it is unhealthy.

Should we have more heavyset women who are more prominently strong physically? Sure thing! Should they have more muscle definition? Not much really (although a bit more wouldn't hurt anyone).

I do agree with you in terms of genetics and biology; human males are just naturally made to be bigger. We're the "expendable" portion of the population so to speak so it kinda makes sense. However just having a more beefy woman would be nice, especially considering not only League's abundance of very slender women, but also because of how little representation there is for women in League for being a big beefy tank. League has three women tanks in contrast to the 30+ male tanks, and none of those three, while being awesome, do kinda suffer from the same problems most of League's female roster do.

We're kinda arguing the same point here, but in short, a strong warrior woman need not be as beefy as a man, but I feel like she should probably have more meat on their bones all the same.

Nidalee doesn't hit the "Amazonian" mark, even though she's kind of supposed to. Just give us a 6'6" massive armored woman with a stupidly heavy melee weapon.

Make her a Demacian shock trooper or a Piltover mercenary and give her the gear or tech to make it work. Or, make her a Noxian and have her laugh when Darius hits her with his axe or something.

Neither of them are what we would consider "beefy", that's what we're getting at. They're armoured, but they're also pretty skinny you know? We could use a few beefed up ladies. We certainly have enough men with big muscles that a couple of women wouldn't go amiss.

Every human female champion looks like that. Having a single heavy-built female champion in the game won't hurt. Look at HoTS/Diablo 3 Female Barbarian. She got breasts, she got power, she got everything she needs. Speaking of natural - do you see people like Tryndamere or Braum walking around that often? Because men are not born with giant muscles, they build them through a long (very long) painful process of trainings.

You called five sentences a "speech". That's a whole sentence more than the post you made that they replied to. You're overreacting, big time.

Bias exists everywhere, but the OP's post was about as neutral as it gets. They said two things they hoped for (human woman, and muscular), but didn't try and convince Riot to make them that way.

All said and done, your own bias seems to be the biggest one here.

The thing is, if we have 2 female champs and 8 male champs then a 3rd one that's also curvy is unlikely going to matter.

But if we have 50 females and they are all look like the same girl in different lingerie/wigs, then it may not even be the politics that gets people. It's just simply "boring" to look at. The male casts have "fat uncles" like Gragas, pretty boys like Varus/Ezreal, bodybuilders like Tryn and 30 - 40 year olds like Graves.

It may be unfair or tiresome for artists because they get flogged over sexual politics. More than often repetitive faces/body types are related to design abstraction (common in anime), habit of hand, sexual ideals/shape preferences or...lack of skill.

However on the flip side League is also a commercial product. Within the realm of natural anatomy, some girls like myself aren't curvy, some have larger asses, some have the "natural desire" to inject in all the testosterone to make themselves manlike and some are naturally born to be hourglass bombshells.

Most of the people in this thread are probably asking artists to challenge themselves to design more individualistic female and on a marketing perspective it is advantageous - Most straight men are interested in different types of female forms to begin with. Not everything is related to politics or has to be about feminism.

Personally I'd like a new female Yordle. Last time saw their like as a new champion was march 2012, over three years ago, and I'd love us to get another that's more in line with modern Yordle aesthetics and stuff. I would definetly not be averse to a strong, muscular woman being next though, cuz we're sorely missing those and it'd be kinda sweet to see.

Y'now, I'm almost the opposite of a Tumblr feminist, but I do think that female champions in this game have a problem of having the same build over and over. Zyra looks like Ahri that looks like Sona that looks like Ashe that looks like- you get my point. Disregarding cup size, they seem to have the same physical build. Now, I'm not arguing that every female character should be made fat and gross and ugly, I'd just like some difference in their physical attributes.

I mean, at least make Shyvana's build match up with her Splash Art.

Also, Sejuani should be on a metal bikini again, except with her body covered in scars, fractures, and deadened stretches of tissue. Make her body an album of suffering. And idiots who tried to take her down and suffered the consequences of their folly.

Not that metal bikini Sej wouldn't make sense because of her lore - if she's out training, she'd want to under bitter conditions. But for actual war/hunting, I find it hard to imagine why she wouldn't don a pragmatic approach i.e. her current splash.
