The Dual Names

Quinn and Valor first.

Ok lets put an end to these threads once and for all.

Using Nunu and Willump as a template we can see that there are certain criteria that need to be met to assume the legendary mantle of dual-name eligibility. (because we of course can't just internally on a person by person case decide that two champions make up a greater whole and call it a day, no we need Riot to shove giant unwieldy names everywhere in the client in 14pt font to make that assertion)

1.) Both characters must be sentient or at least sapient and be able to on some level communicate with each other (No Jhin and Whisper, yes I've seriously seen this idea proposed)

Nunu and Willump are friends that can talk to each other. NUNU PASS

2.) Both characters must contribute equally to skills and/ or passive(No Tibbers, No Daisy, No Lady of the Mist that's only ONE ability)

Nunu plays the song on the passive and throws the E snowballs. Willump uses his Q consume, rolls the W giant snowball. They both share the R. That's perfect 50-50 split boys but of course there can be allowed a 60-40 leeway in some cases. This is why people complain about Kindred feeling like Lamb with a Wolf pet following her about. Luckily that champ is named Kindred or we'd see RENAME LAMB AND WOLF TO LAMB XD threads every week for years to come. NUNU PASS

3.) Both character must contribute to the story of that character equally so that one does not feel like the main character while the other is a sidekick. Either in the long form lore we nerds get excited about or in the "gameplay fantasy" that Riot tries to express to players that just read the short blurb (this is where Kayn and Rhaast falls apart as it is very much Kayns' story and Rhaast is more a major obstacle he must overcome)

Nunu and Willumps' bio is actually split into three parts Nunus' origin Willumps' origin and then a third part explaining there goals and state in the world now that they are friends. NUNU PASS

And this is probably the biggest one

4.) Both character must be onscreen under some influence of player control 100% percent of the time. (RIP Kled and Skarrl)

As you can see Quinn and Valor pass the first three (they communicate, share a good deal of ability workload and feature as a pair heavily in the bio) but fail the last one. If you are not moving both champs attacking with both champs and having both champs respond to you at all times than you are embodying the one that moves when you click and the other is a friendly helper. At this point for the sake of brevity we can just name the champ whichever one has the MOST agency and call it a day.

If Quinn gets a VGU where Valor is on her shoulder at all times and isn't just a visual effect marking targets or a jetpack attachment when you R than she will be eligible FOR fanfare DUAL NAME STATUS and then I will have all of you to thank for contributing to my early onset glaucoma everytime I look squint through her skins.
