Why didn't you make Arclight Yorick an 1820?

for a champ that hasn't gotten a skin in over six years, a 1350 is the best you could do?

edgy demon yasuo gets a full VO just because, same with riven, same with ahri

same price as yi's second skin of the year.....?

beekeeper singed is literally overshadowing a skin for YORICK. is it a pretty skin? yes, and very well made, but in no way worth a six year wait, and im not even a fucking yorick main. its wierd as shit seeing his little holy minions make the same noises as shadow isles ghouls and hearing him talking about dirt and curses, almost as wierd as dragon sorc zyra still babbling about plants

DISCLAIMER i am in no way bashing anyone involved in the development of this skin. i just wish they bothered to go the full mile

fuck unpopular champs right? its a nice skin to look at but riot couldnt even be bothered make it a full package the way they did for ahri or riven or yasuo or jinx. its disheartening and speaks volumes about priorities over there at riot. i tried being nice but im just getting sick of this. does the skin team make good content? yes, skin quality has shot up immensely and they are all very talented people putting in serious work. do they near exclusively pander to popular champions by giving only them good skins while doling out inferior ones to less popular champs and then patting themselves on the back before shelving said champ for another three years? hell fucking yes. doesn't matter what they say in a dev blog. the skin team is just giving a ton of champ communities middle fingers of different sizes at this point. i don't want to type up another long post and still get ignored by riot (because 90% of the time they only respond to praise or in the safety of the dev corner/etc) but i just legitimately feel passionate about this topic and wish riot would be honest with themselves and us

sorry some people in this game don't ascribe to the flashy hypermobile hype machine type aesthetic riot pushes for. if riot keeps making the good skins and events and art for certain champions, more people will play and pay for those champions, and less the champions riot willfully chooses to ignore. its a vicious cycle. try something new? put a lot of work and effort into making a high quality 1820 yorick skin with events and missions and theme music and feel good for doing something nice for yorick players while also making good profit? its not hard. i dont enjoy playing ahri or jinx or lee sin or annie, its rough knowing that that costs me a lot of nice content to enjoy, as well as other things we dont have to talk about in art and sound. i like skins for champs i play as much as the next guy, unfortunately the next guy is an ahri/lee sin/riven main and im not.

its even worse knowing that another 3-4 years will probably elapse before yorick gets his 4th skin, despite being older than over half of league's roster. unless riot greatly expands the skin team, learns to take risks with skins (the backbone of economic growth and success), and starts standing up to certain champion communities, that is, and even then i couldnt be sure

y'all will give janna a fucking ninja sword skin but not shen. you even bait all china, and more importantly, melledoneus.

This isn't the way to say it but yes, I agree that to really sell the Arclight theme for Yorick, it would require at least some new animations for his minions. Holy servants aren't supposed to lumber around brainlessly like ghouls, and a heavenly Maiden should not look like she is sucking out people's souls.

There are other issues with the skin of course; overall it seems far too saturated with white and yellow and I think maybe some of the shapes could be improved, but alas it is Yorick we're talking about whose popularity (or lack thereof) will mean any skin above 1350 RP is unlikely. :(

I do enjoy the look and idea, but the sounds do bother me. The maiden dosent feel quite right to me as well. Also, Undertaker Yorick could really use some purple graves (please).

As a Yorick main I appreciate your rage on my behalf, I personally think the skin is kinda shit as I mention in my post here https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/dAc9w9k5-arclight-yorick-and-why-this-is-a-bad-move-by-riot and agree with you wholeheartedly when you say it feels like being given the middle finger.
