@Riot Narrative Department: You Have Given Players The Impression That You Are Aweful At What You Do
Here are reasons:
-
We don't seem to be allowed to know who is in charge of the narrative department. This seems like a ploy by RIot to escape taking responsibility for bad decisions...Unless there isn't actually someone in charge of lore at Riot.... which is even more troubling. Is there someone in charge of the narrative department or not? If so, Who is it? Why is this a secret? Why aren't you more open about lore like you are about game design?
-
Why retcon Runeterra when you just could have written summoners out? Hell, why write summoners out at all?! The idea was so cool and immersive, and yet you guys just threw it away in order to deliver Lore in such a straight-forward and bland way. WTF Riot?
-
You don't seem to know what you are doing....I don't know how to be constructive about this other than recommending you go back to what you were doing 2-3 years ago. That worked better. Hell, bring back the JoJ!
-
Riot, you have never replaced the Journal of Justice with anything of a similar scale. WIth the JoJ, we had bi-weekly lore updates about a changing world that we interacted with through our battles on the Fields of Justice.
For me, and many players I'm sure, this was a motivating factor to play.
Riot Please, bring back the Institute of War and the Fields of Justice!
Seriously Riot, I wanna care about Runeterra, but your recent lore decisions have made it really, really hard to.
