My opinion on the design of emotes

TL;DR: The message is not sufficiently clear. The message reads too much like "cute champion portrait" and too little like "good job" / "haha! can't catch me!" / "oops" etc.

Long story short. I'm not finding the messages clear enough. what exactly am I supposed to express with an emote like "outrageous", if we assume the part of the emote that isn't displayed in game (the title) is not conveyed directly to the other guy? What does "you're next" mean? what exactly do I do with "grouchy"? I mean there's a message there somewhere but it's kinda subdued and hidden under the "cute portrait art" thing.

I can see myself using maybe an emote or 2, but I don't find them to be clear enough.

second issue: since nobody has any kind of useful basic set of emotes (the thumbs up is a good one, but need to have 3-4 others), it's clear to see why they are not really used outside of "taunt opponent". Maybe some standard, basic, drab looking set with well understood and useful messages is in order?

That's why I only use antagonizing emotes,

Unbenched when I ace, "was that me?" When I get first blood, charmed when the game begins, and okay for victory, and my 5 emotes are

Unbenched, was that me?, here's poppy, does not compute, and draven approved

So in short, I just went the antagonistic route
