Except for there constant fighting with one another they seem similar. They are two spirit that are supposedly different yet on can not exist without the other. I heard that new champion were based off of many thing, people believe "they are coming" was base off of Dhama I hope that they were also influence by Raava and Vaatu as well and maybe some easteregg about it in there VO.

While I am also a big avatar fan,I doubt that Raava and Vaatu had much of an influence on the upcoming champ.

Both were most likely inspired by the concept of Yin&Yang,which is a common theme among duos.

I don't know enough about Kindred's lore to say so definitively yet. But the one difference I can already spot is that Raava and Vaatu weren't technically one entity to begin with. They were two opposite entities entwined in an eternal battle. Were as Kindred (from what I understand so far) started as one entity. Also from what I understand, Wolf and Lamb work together and are, as Wolf state, "friends" where as Raava and Vaatu never were on the same side. However they do share similar themes, so I don't really know.

Granted, my opinion will change once we get an actual look at Kindred's lore, but I just don't know enough about Kindred yet to say if they are similar to Vaatu/Raava.
