It's been a year to the day since Skarner, Amumu, and others lost their lore.

Is it too unreasonable to have Skarner, Ezreal, Amumu, and Rammus get something slightly longer? Sivir and Cass at least had a portion of their backstory narrated by Nasus, Nasus and Renekton got a slight nod to in Azir or Xerath's lore, but these four champions didn't get anything!

I'm not asking for a new event, I'm not asking for something flashy, I'm just hoping for them to get something more, so they feel like champions again.

There's literally more character development for Jakmunt Zyglos (from Miss Fortune's Lore ) than there is for several champions in the game put together.

The man’s name was Jakmunt Zyglos, one of the Painted Brothers. Any corsair worth his salt had tattoos, but every inch of Zyglos was inked with clawed serpents, lovers’ names, and a record of every boat he’d sunk, every man he’d murdered. His skin was as good a confession as any she’d known.

This is, in many instances, better than the one paragraph descriptions we get for champions, because it actually makes us interested in learning more about him and tells us stuff about him. There's also a good amount of additional text too, describing his interactions with MF.

By my count, Jakmunt Zyglos's story, from his emergence to him getting shot in the eye and heart, is 47 sentences. The lores of Ezreal, Rammus, Skarner, Amumu, Nasus, Renekton, Cass, and Sivir COMBINED are only 25 sentences. Seriously? Is it too much to ask for as much on a champion as we get on a throw away character?

I think the biggest crime was Xerath's lore.

Riot works by committee, and things have to get reviewed and redone before they can get released.

This is why there's only one mega event each year. Teams have to stop all their projects to work on the big one.

This is why there were only four champs who received new bios in a format that is still undergoing revision.

This is why Jaredan and company are too busy to converse with us on a regular basis. Not only do they have their own work to get done, they have to attend meetings on other projects (new champs, reworks, future events, etc.)

This is why Taric, whose gameplay rework is ready for review, is waiting on ChampUp's art team to get rolling while the opposite is true of Poppy.

Sometimes, the end result of a committee project is awesome. But, it's rare that the awesomeness is worth the wait because it takes forever to get the next one done.
