we keep saying turrets are too weak so they went and made them unstoppable colossus and you'll spend the whole game trying to avoid their wrath as they battle for the nexus.
for real tho if it's galio like a bunch of people keep preaching they would have to do so much more work making all of his skins fit this style. I'm hoping for some tanky champ with a focus on supporting the team instead of flash damagey plays

He is a tank though, more of a vanguard like 
though. He gets even tankier because his ult + when he uses his shield on himself. Even if he doesn't have 4k health, he certainly isn't squishy.

Why would they address Aatrox once in a minor patch, then almost immediately afterwards in a major update? Among the many major updates to champions or otherwise that needed to be addressed, Riot had already exclaimed that Galio was very close to the top of the list. So if anything stony and threatening is getting updated, it's him.
A turret update/rework sounds nice though.

I disagree heavily. These things take about half a year to develop, and Galio has been in development (publically at least) for over six months now. There's no way they'd scrap him and somehow develop a new model for Aatrox in a matter of two weeks for pretty much no reason.
I wouldn't be shocked if Riot made Galio a Darkin who turned to stone, and now serves as the protector of Demacia. That would make him fit in the world of Runeterra while still fulfilling the Garegoyal themeatic. (It would also explain why he has similarities with Aatrox)

Silhouette-wise, since they're not going to change up Aatrox's visual, it is too wide.

GreenLore1 votesIt was said,that Galio will probably come out before the next champion and overall it fits in terms of development time(VGUs usually take ~6 months and its been almost 6 months since the Yorick rework).
Not to mention that this is something demacia related that is made of stone and has wings,which would be far too similar to Galio if it was another champion.

xScarfy1 votesThere are 2 teams working on VGU's: One team was working on Yoricks VGU and moved on to Galio now and the other team worked on Warwicks VGU and is now working on Urgot I think.
