It's definitely one of the best splash arts in the game.

EDIT: Lmao why is this comment getting downvotes?

What if Diana is a former member of Star Guardian?

I think that is one of the better examples of League's differing art styles.

The only thing they have in common is that they're both in the sky, and they're both purple. It isn't even the same shade or lighting though.

Purple and white clothes, silver and gold weapon, animal companion (bunny in the cloud), cloudy sky, night time, large focus on a celestial body (moon, star). Pretty similar.

Lunar Goddess Diana is a reference to the Chinese moon goddess Chang'e, her presence in the sky, the moon and bunny are a direct reference to that. Janna is kinda just floating in the sky as a reference to her weather powers.

Weird, I never knew this. Chang'e is like the Sona of Smite so I never drew the parallel.

Chang'e looks more like Karma i'd say just give karma a pet rabbit.

I know, I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing out similarities. No need to go crazy with downvotes people.

It's not just you. However, the reason is simple: purple is not a common color scheme, especially since both shades are close to each other, the resemblance due to color is quite strong. They also have similar forms, and the backgrounds both have clouds. Those similarities alone are enough, even though the poses and themes are contrasting.
