Despite having the biggest Champion roster, we still seem to have little info on Ionia itself

At least since the lore update anyways.

We did get some info on the Vastaya due to the release of Xayah and Rakan, but since Vastaya aren't just in Ionia, it still feels like a little while since we've gotten info about Ionia as a whole.

A lot of Ionia's champions' lore don't make sense since the removal of the institution or is just plain outdated.

I'm hoping we get some new info with Irelia's upcoming rework about Ionia, perhaps she'll get upgraded to a great sage (lore-wise, I'm not talking about thematic or visual appearance) or something like that. That would help give Ionia some new lore.

Like Blood Magicks said,I think it is actually pretty likely that we'll get an update to Ionia once Irelia gets her VGU. I mean Swain will likely come with a Noxus update and since the noxian invasion is such a big part of the ionia lore,it would make sense for Noxus to receive a lore update before Ionia.

I wanna know more about the whole Jhin vs Kinkou and Order of Shadows ordeal. It said in Jhin's lore that he was freed by some council, meaning that this goes up to the governmental level, but is it THAT big that it could involve the rest of Ionia? Because it was ALSO stated that dudes from the Wuju clan and some others were also sent to capture Jhin before the people came to Master Kusho. Does Jhin also have his own allies? I mean, his character seems like he'd work alone, but every playwright needs his stagehand. I doubt Jhin could handle each faction or person on his own. Shen, Akali, and Zed maybe. Not Irelia Karma Kayn LeeSin MasterYi Rakan Syndra Varus MonkeyKing Xayah and maybe a few others I'm missing.

I wonder if the Irelia VGU and Karma's mini-rework will be around the same time. That'd fit nicely for an Ionian lore update.

We honestly didn't even get that much on the Vastaya to be honest. Most of the champs just got new lore to fit better in to the new lore. Any questions that the new lores have raised also have been met with silence (likely cause they know and can't say anything I'd guess).

Though I'd bet Swains update will have some major info about Ionia in general. He invaded for a reason. He retreated for another reason. Without the institute of war, there needs to be a reason for that and I don't think his new lore will go without mentioning that stuff. Then obviously Irelia should really bring up plenty of new info for the more political figures within Ionia, such as Karma and Soraka at the very least.
