They murdered the Feral Warwick skin

So, im absolutely in love with the WW rework but i wanted to kill the artist behind this reworked skin. Thing i loved about this skin was the almost complete lack of 'clothing' or anything on warwick. His base model had to much jewelry and its color took away the werewolf feel. This skin was meant to be for me to give warwick a pure, un-touched werewolf feel, and now its ruined... skins are suppose to convey a fantasy or image to the person playing it, THATS what important about the skin, not the context at which you originally made it, and for me and so many others it gave us the feel of playing a pure un-touched savage brown werewolf, and now it does the exact opposite, that beats your own design values you talk about when you design skins. Now Reav3 justifies this with

> So there have been **many **comments about how Feral Warwick isn't Feral anymore. We don't plan on doing big changes to the skin except small adjustments to the splash to match the in-game color more and a bit of model polish on his clothing. I did think I should at least explain the thematic and how we got to where we got. We definitely didn't intend to take away his feralness or ignore his previous thematic. Pre-Rework Feral Warwick was a feral beast that got captured and then escaped due to how feral and out of control he was (hence the broken chains on his wrist) We had to preserve the tanks on his back and claw for each skin so we needed to incorporate those into the new skin. The thematic is supposed to be similar to pre-rework feral in that he was a feral werewolf that gets captured and is experimented on and then escapes the lab, killing everyone and running back into the wild. We just added a bit of a twist to it. I thought it would be at least fair to explain our reasoning behind the changes.

well, thanks for the context as to why you made a stupid decision, it still dosent change the fact that you butchered the skin for almost everyone who has it. The new skin is fucking hideous. The least you could do is remove the Mask and most of the crap white clothing... i can tolerate the fat-ass arm gauntlet but the rest is just ruining it. Way to ruin a legacy skin.

I like Feral Warick before and now i even like it even more, i personnaly think the new one looks gorgeous.

But i've gotta admit it removed any ''wild'' werewolf themed skins from Warwick and leaves a gap in his skin pool. I just find it silly that they REALLY want to keep the ''tank'' on his back in all his skins. They could have made the scars on his back turn glowy red instead, so he'd still have a visual effect to show his abilities.

Warwick isn't meant to be a werewolf. They intentionally weren't going for a werewolf.

They ruined one of the best simple skins and made it complicated.

From what I've read, Rioters have commented that Feral Warwick is meant to be their take on him being a captured beast in the wild, confined to a lab in a straitjacket and experimented on until he broke free and is now on a wild rampage. I used the current Feral Warwick skin the most, and it was my favorite skin because the texture pass update ruined Tundra Hunter for me by giving it golden armor. I wouldn't say they ruined Feral WW with the update, but tried to find an identity for it that had to include the metal claw and pumps on his back.

Edit: I realize with how fast I skimmed, you've already made your reaction to the statement. My bad.

New WW has a tank on his back, thats part of his identifying fetures now, not every skin can work with that limitation while keeping their original design (also see hyena WW). Anyway, they explained whats the "story" behind the new skin, and I personally like it, it's okay if you dont, but thats what happens in reworks, you cant please everyone

Even before his rework he wasn't really a Werewolf, he drank a potion by Singed that was slowly turning him into an animal. (i think that his full transformation would look like a Dire wolf)

Thats why he needed Soraka's (celestial's) heart to stop him from fully turning into an animal

I like the updated Feral skin, it reminds me of Wolverine (and my personal favorite, Sabretooth) and i think that Riot did a great job this time
