I belive he kinda has a similar "role" to Aatrox? Could their strenghts be similar? If so Pantheon truly is a legendary warrior.

There is a difference between them, at least in my mind, and that is that Pantheon, being the Aspect of War, exists wherever there is battle, whereas Aatrox and his kin, (when are we getting more by the way?) ,ust create strife to have a place, Aatrox's domain just happens to be bloody warfare.

Secondary thought, Pantheon is the pinnacle of martial prowess, whereas Aatrox is the embodiment of wonton slaughter, both are found in war, but are inherently seperate.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pantheons' various hosts have encountered Aatrox down the years. I mean Aatrox has appeared in scripts and stories from millennium ago - going by Ezreals research anyways.

Thats the thing though.

Aatrox isn't some personification of war or something like that,he is just a being that enjoys war and turns it into a bloodbath for his own amusement.

Aatrox is probably an unofficial aspect of war that came about from how people viewed him throughout his existence.

Aatrox seems to desire the concept of victory, which is commonly found in war, and seems to want to attain it through any means necessary and having the end justify the means. That or he just likes getting others involved in it and enjoys seeing others go through this process

whereas pantheon is, as mentioned above, the prowess of war, being skillful and knowing how to carry out war where defeating his opponent with his skill and expertise is honor, and the act of war for him is a rite or ritual in itself for pride.

aatrox would probably rally up or instigate a faction or group to fight just to have them fight and give up everything for victory to avoid failure.

whereas pantheon you could probably go to challenge him and decide when and where, and will come meet you at the appointed time and place after you're both ready to engage in glorious combat

I would actually believe that's possible if he was still human.

Legitimately think it's possible if Pantheon wasn't a celestial being whose main concern is protecting the mountain.

oh yeah forgot about the whole change thing. My mind is still in pre-lore-change mode

though I suppose if there was some time of peace or non-threat to the mountain he might humor you, seeing as he could probably grand skyfall almost immediately to a threat if he sensed one, that or he would ignore you or just kill you if he didn't like you due to the pantheon spirit seeming like he doesn't give too many craps about who or what he's facing like "you're not solari, you're not rakkor, so you're gone, buh bye"

I doubt he would ever attack a pilgrim to Mount Targon, or any non-Rakkor or Solari that was traveling through the area. When Pantheon set out, he could see into the souls of the raiders and knew they came for slaughter. I could definitely see if a highway robber, desperate for food, jumped out to try and surprise Pantheon, Pantheon would just knock him out with his shield, telling him to train harder.
