Who is Kahina, and will we see more of her in Lux's new comic series?

If you don't know who Kahina is, I'll do a quick summary: Kahina is a knight in the order of Illuminators, a charitable religious order within Demacia "working to help the sick and the poor."

In Lux's previous lore, Kahina was also the one to discover Lux had magical powers and brought her into the order, where Lux chose to serve Demacia alongside the Illuminators with her abilities of light magic, in exchange for keeping it secret.

However, since her new lore has cut out the part where Lux had served in the Illuminators, Kahina has much more reduced role in the Lux's biography, only being mentioned that she "also taught Lux more martial skills, sparring and training with her in the gardens of the Crownguard manor."

Because of the fact that she is rather insignificant to the greater story at the moment, I won't blame anyone who forgot she existed.

However, the reason I'm bringing her up is because I'm positive Kahina is going to play a bigger role in Lux's upcoming comic series. As annoyed as I initially was with Lux's most recent retcon, I'm now fairly certain that that part was cut out of her bio so that it can happen in the comic. And so if the comic were to mimic Lux's old lore, Kahina will be the one to discover her powers, and will bring her to the Illuminators to make her decision to join them.

Except, the context has changed.

Lux now has a connection with Sylas. And the fact that she indirectly helped him escape prison. And now he's gathering followers of the great mage rebellion.

So then if Kahina were to see Lux with magical powers, and with the threat of a mage rebellion hanging over the city, what would she do? What would she think? What would the Illuminators do? Would they have even offered her a choice at first, if they also found out about her connection to Sylas? If she were to join the Illuminators, where does this put her in relation to Sylas, or even Garen? Would Sylas accuse her of pandering to and still serving a system that oppresses their kind?

I'm genuinely curious to see what Kahina is like in general, actually. Is she openly warm and caring, or slightly more stoic? Does she regard magic with understanding, or with distrust? What is her moral code? Does she think alike to Kayle or Morgana? What is her relationship with Lux like in general?

So yeah. I was curious to maybe see what role Kahina will play in the future of Lux and Demacia. And maybe remind everyone that she still exists. And in general, I'm intrigued with how this 5-issue comic centering around one of my favorite characters will go.

So everyone feel free to share your thoughts!

Also, apparently in her new lore Lux can fight with a sword! Which I think is really cool tbh. Does it now mean Lux doesn't carry a staff everywhere, but a sword?

ALSO ALSO, I'm actually kinda excited for Kahina to show up because MORE KNIGHT LADIES YEAH

Okay, not sure if that's actually what she's going to be like, but I'm kinda hoping for Kahina to be dressed like a typical knight and not like Kayle or Leona because honestly I love armored ladies.

I suspect that it won't be too different to how it was. Even with the context shift, Kahina and Lux know each other already and so she probably trusts her not to join Sylas.

I'm really excited for the Lux comic. I know some people dislike the fact that Demacia isn't a stereotypical good nation, but I don't mind that. I'm so excited to see Lux do some secret magic to help the kingdom out. Also

They missed a good opportunity to make Kahina the same character as Cithria in the short story, Turmoil.

I'm personally hoping Kahina will be our Dark Knight. Someone who willingly uses a dark power to protect the innocent.

Yorick doesn't count, as he's using his curse to try and end it, not to protect people.
