The lore retcon simplifies lore in such a way that it feels really commercialized and similar to other moba's lore.

LoL had a cool interesting narrative for its lore that set it apart from other mobas, yet Riot doesn't seem to want to support that any longer.

The Institute of War was a defining part of LoL's History and I'm really sad to see it go.

The concept of Summoners participating in the battles was inspired and felt really cool! Why did they get retconned out?

The League of Legends actually existing within Runeterra's lore was pretty cool too.

Did you not read the big blog post thing they had? You know the one that basically said why they were taking things in a new direction and said why they were retconning stuff?

If I may ask a question,would the lore be better if the Retcon didn't happen? To me,the Retcon added to the problems of LOL lore.It didn't introduce problems.There would still be a low amount of communication,low amount of released content & huge amount of underdeveloped characters/regions/storylines/plotpoints/etc.

Whether you think the retcon itself was a good idea or not is one thing,let's not act like the lore was perfect before it.Undoing the Retcon won't magically fix these problems.
