What do you think this guy will be able to do?

Given that the name translates to "Golden Sun", it's unlikely that he still retains Ao Shin's affiliation with Weather. If anything he may be more closely tied to the Sun or celestial bodies in general. I like to think that Aurelion might be derived from "Aphelion", which in Astronomy is the point in a Planet's (or any orbiting body) orbit in which it is farthest from it's parent star. Maybe Aurelion will be chucking stars and comets at you, maybe he'll just be a standard Fire Dragon (except he breathes Solar Plasma instead). What do you think?

Someone on youtube said that his name change to a more roman sounding name might correspond with the mount targon lore rework Sounds plausible.

I think they may have kept some of the weather aspect to him but focusing more on the sun/fire aspect. Perhaps he's one of many and he represents the sun? I wish we knew what lane/role he's designed for

I foresee a lot of fire in his kit. Which I think is great. I feel like 'Fire Dragon' is something we're seeing less and less of with other, more exotic magical types of dragons coming into popularity (Electric dragons, Ice dragons, Venom dragons, etc). A fire breathing dragon almost seems, well, basic. And I'm hoping Aurelion Sol can breathe new, fiery life into the archetype.

It sounds like it has to do wiht stars, btu I'm detecting the riot "turn-epic-concept-into-trash-support" vibe fomr this, y'know? Also, how woudl we/he translate cruchign a massive star in his cosmic hand into / ont oirl battle?

I think it would be cool if his ultimate was similar to this.

Star Creation Active: At the target point on the map outside of the enemy base, after a 3 second delay, Aurelion creates a miniature star that consumes that part of the map, incinerating nearby impassable terrain and dealing 300/425/550 (+60% AP) magic damage. The star counts as impassable terrain to all except for Aurelion. Over the next 5 minutes, a tiny galaxy forms around the star created, enhancing Aurelion while inside of it with a small bonus to his movement speed. A new planet forms every 60 seconds (max of 4/5/6 planets) that is further away from the star from the previous planets created. The planets count as impassable terrain to enemy units and the planets orbit slower the further away they are from the star. While Aurelion is inside one of the stars, he gains vision of the inner half of the galaxy attached to it. A max of 2/3/4 galaxies can be made at once. Cost: 100/125/150 mana Cool Down: 165/140/115 seconds Range: Global Star Size Radius: 450 Terrain Incineration/Damage Radius: 600 Planet Size Radius: 225 Planet Distance From Star: 300 plus 325 for every previous planet spawned in the galaxy Galaxy Total Size: 750 (+325 for every planet spawned past the first, max of 1725/2050/2375)

Well in my head looking back on his preview and his video it looked like night time and he was released right after the mount targon stuff so I feel he will be more related to the dark side of mount targon that being diana and have a merciless kit like hers, or if hes a support I imagine him carrying a lot of cc and poke while being fairly squishy ( like how sona's kit works)
