Lore Events - suggestions for some improvments.

So, I've recently been somewhat dissapointed with some lore-related stuff in-game. For example, the recent Yorick rework brought too little inter-champion interactions for my taste. He barely has one per shadow isles champions, even to the more important ones. And most of the quotes are pretty mediocre. But that is not exacly the point. The point is, that I've seen way too little story events since Burning Tides - The Teemoing was an event, but I would hardly call it lore-related. And I do realize, that such big events are really a ton of work, but come on... They don't necceserily have to be as huge as burning tides - with two champion reworks, new amazing gamemode, skins, announcer etc. etc.

They could be small ones, but I have a very special suggestion.

I always felt like game has too little relation to the story... But how about making smaller, lore-focused events, with a special, but simple game mode. A game mode, that would allow players to match up with either of the fighting fractions. Let's say it would be some Demacia Vs Noxus event. Players could then choose the side they want to be on (Just have it so you can click either on Demacia or Noxus when picking the gamemode) and it would match them up in teams of 5 on summoners rift and allow them to pick only champions from the fraction they chose. Then it would check what fraction won more games and on that basis the event could go on either way.

These could be frequent events - concerning small stuff, like fighting over influence in some region or something. And then these short events could lead to some big one.

For example - Noxus wins over Demacia and then Void creatures could try to attack now, that Demacia (that was usually dealing with voidlings) was weakend by it's recent defeat. Or if it's the opposite - Mordekaiser with Shadow Isles could try to attack Noxus, weakend by Demacia, to try take back Immortal Bastion. I am especially fond of this idea for the event as it could feature some awesome stuff - Demacia joining Noxus to fend back undead foes, Darius and Garen fighting side by side, interactions between champions like Jarvan and Swain, Garen and Katarina - Of course a lot of development of these characters. It could also feature the long awaited (at least by like 5 people who care about him) Morde's VU.

Anyways, that would be it - I went on babbling on a bit less related topics the further I went on... So, hope you like my idea.

This is very similar to the concept of League's fanmade Factions site (made by a dude named "Cupcake Trap", if I'm not wrong), that has been running for a few years now, in case you haven't heard of it. :P Factions retains the aspect/concept of the League of Legends and the Institute of War in its own alternate universe (which continues after the last events in the good ol' Journal of Justice, I think), and inter-factional conflicts, like in the old lore (before the great retcon), are solved with League of Legends matches (like you suggested- There's a roster of champions fighting for each faction, and players/Summoners- from the game's community- can choose those champions to represent their faction in battle- and to generalize and simply the idea a bit- the winning team/faction wins the conflict, eventually- that's after more than one much, though).

The problem with this idea, I feel, is that it could end up forcing story-telling. I would say, though, that Cupcake Trap has been dealing with this possible issue very nicely. Then again, with all the respect to the old lore and Cupcake Trap/Factions, I'm not a fan of the idea of the League of Legends existing to solve conflicts. :/

Anyways, I'd recommend you to check out Cupcake Trap's Factions. Really nice stuff. :D
