Nocturne has amazing potential for a Visual Update

Hey folks! I was inspired to create this thread based on this Reddit post. The OP discusses how Nocturne has, in their opinion, one of the worst base models in the game compared to the champion's splash art. I often use the Eternum skin whenever i play Nocturne as I find his other models aren't really that 'cool'. As a longtime fan of Nocturne, it is kind of hard to disagree with the reddit OP and I do beleive he needs some love.

I believe that if a Nocturne VU ever happened, thanks to the CoolShadowVFX™ that Riot has displayed with the rework of Yorick and the effects on his cape and then later used for Shadow Assassin Kayn, such as his hair flow and Shadow Step.

Nocturne could truly, visually become the 'Eternal Nightmare' if these effects were taken into consideration for a possible VU date for him.

I'm in this thread and yes I agree. Nocturne can be the scariest champion of the league if they reach his full potential. Just look at his ultimate, even as outdated, it is scary as shit. If they improve his ultimate, add a new skillset excluding the ult, make a cool model and act a scary voice, he could be really terrifying and awesome.

There are few champions that can give you heartattacks. Rengar, Evelynn, Kayn, Warwick, Kha'Zix. Nocturne does it too, but it can be better, unlike others which are already modern.

I'm excited for Mordekaiser, Nocturne, Shaco, Fiddlesticks, Cho'Gath the most.

I will admit that I thought Kayn's kit would be really really fitting for a Nocturne rework, phasing through walls and inhabiting your mind for his ult.

Agreed. Definitely something that could benefit from the new tech.

I think there's quite a bit of this in the old champ pool; champions that were created when the standards were simply very different. I wouldn't be shocked to see him on the VGU list in the near(ish) future. His gameplay could use an update, too, I imagine. I'm not a Nocturne player, but his kit has always felt extremely binary to me. You got any thoughts on that (I realize it's on tangentially related, but feels relevant when talking about updates)?
