Lore question about Gragas (the only Dwarf?)

Im working on a League themed D&D 5e conversion called Runeterra 5e and even though I'm mostly done with the races I still can't remember one detail about Gragas. So I vaguely remember there being information on Gragas that he is some sort of Dwarf race for Runeterra. I dont know if this is attached to his old lore, or it's what people assumed based off his lore saying he is from an "unknown civilization" and his features (odd sized stout guy with long beard) but was hoping for the community to know anything about this. Trying to figure out if the lore would even support dwarves as a race within Runeterra. (I would adjust a lot to dwarves to make it more fitting to Gragas' traits)

Nope, currently he's just a big fat dude.

So... if a human has a long beard... he is a dwarf?

... okay

Curious what playable races you might have? Since Runeterra doesn't have the traditional scope of races like D&D has. No Orcs, Teiflings, Gnomes, Dragonborn, Goliaths, Warforged etc.

Something like this? ● Human

  • Demacian
  • Noxian
  • Piltie (inventor or artisan background)
  • Ionian
  • Shuriman (nomad background)
  • other ● Vastaya ● Minotaur ● Human-variant
  • Hextech augmented
  • Mutant
  • Vastaya halfbreed
  • Cursed
  • other ● Yordle ● Artifical lifeform similar to Orianna, Zac, Galio. (The scope of this one might be too broad)

Honestly you'd need to invent a lot of thematic stats and balancing for these options, particularly the Human-variants. Not all of them can be reskined versions of D&D rules, namely the Vastaya.
