That splash is amazing! Just a question....is it Lore-friendly? It seems that the skin represents Sej when she was younger but that could be wrong. You tell me

I always imagined Traditional Sejuani (Even the old splash) as canon, as her not giving in to the brutalities of winter and only adopting armor when war created a necessity for it.

We are currently going into the early stages of a Miss Fortune Splash update. She has a lot of splashes that need updating so we are only going to be focusing on just her for now.

We will likely do another dev blog sometime after Urgot releases in the 2nd half of the year. Plan is to do one every 6 months or so.

We have started on exploration for the next 2, yes. The plan would be to talk about them in the next devblog. That is if we have commuted to the next 2 by that time.

BelugaWhale is currently the designer on Urgot, he took it over from Repertoir. 20thCenturyFaux and SolCrushed are both currently in ideation teams looking into whats next.

How do you decide which designers do the vgu's? Also, what works has 20thCenturyFaux done?

Also tell SolCrushed I I lovehis work. He seems to be the main designer for a lot of VGU'd champions and they always come out great.

20thCenturyFaux did the LeBlanc, Zyra and Brand updates recently. Before that he also worked on the last small Zilean update.

well we are talking about champions that were frustrating aniway. Zilean got a lot more groovy cool after the update, leblanc more fair, Zyra more consistent without her largely unneded old passive. Brand probably got out as the most op of them, but his new kit wasn' t inherently bad, rather it was his concept.

Hard to say. They are both a little ways off and pretty close to one another in where the are in production. Most likely the next release will be a new champion but that could easily change.

I plan on doing them every 6-8 months or so. Not sure exactly when yet but maybe sometime around July-August?

Also thinking about possibly doing it in video format next time with Statikk and RiotScruffy, still haven't decided yet.

Is there ever gonna be an official answer as to why "captain miss fortune" isn't her default skin? The character in-game isn't the character in the lore anymore(visually or personality wise). This has bothered me since the bilgewater event.

I'd say its something similar to what they did with Gangplank.

Before GP got "officially" released, the Captain skin was his default skin for about a week......then the lore event happened. You now have the opportunity to play Gangplank as he was before the lore event.

For MF, it's the other way around. Her base skin is her before the lore event, and her Captain skin is her afterwards. That, or you could think of it as her base skin as her "everyday, no-need-to-worry" wardrobe, and her Captain skin as her "Lets get to work, and kick some ass" wardrobe.

Her base skin and VO is the same as the old gangplank(before the "captain' and now current GP skins). MF is and always has been "captain MF" according to the bilge-water lore event. Riot just never bothered to put the resources into making her in-game reflect her now "true" character. Which is really fuked when when you realize that got remade TWICE! for this event. new model and VO for both "captain" and "now default" gangplank.

I feel like toxic mundo really need a new spash while his other skin can stay the same for a longer time (and mundo not receiving any rework mean he is out of the list for group splash update i think)

Same can be said for justiciar vayne but toxic mundo is by far the most offender these days

Hey Reav3 would you guys potentially delay a candidate for a VGU if the severity of their gameplay issues was reduced due to like a mini rework like Akali's assassin mini rework

Not likely. Akali still has a huge ceiling when it comes to "potential" if given a VGU. "Ninja Girl" is a thematic that a lot of our players connect with and we still want to work on her just as badly so that we can bring that thematic up to modern standards.

Hey Reav3, could i ask you what is Riots state on a Miss Fortune's general change? Does she gets anything else than a splash updates? VO? Original model change (which i wouldnt preffer, i must say. I like her "tavern wench" outfit, she has now :3 )? Any future plans?

We currently don't have any plans for MF outside of her skin splash update. I would love to update her VO sometime in the future though we don't have anything currently on the schedule

Not sure. We likely wouldn't do 2 female ADC's back to back though as we like to try to hit different players with each update.

Where would you place Tryndamere when it comes to thematics? As a Barbarian King, I don't think his kit has anything to do with it.

I think Tryndamere needs a lot of work when we do get to him. His kit hasn't aged very well and he looks a bit generic as well.

Yes, very much so. If we were to make Olaf today he would be far less generic. Warwick before his VGU was kind of generic as well. Warwick feels much more like a part of Runterra and unique to LoL after his VGU.
