Why is this once colorful game adapting the same blueish particle theme for everything?

This blue hue that's on champs like Jayce, Karma, the new champ and even the legendary Ashe skin is making the art in this game stagnant. Elemental dragon's color pallets were a step in the right direction but even summoner's rift is blue. Look at old champions like Brand, Zyra, Cho'gath, Pantheon they all had unique ability particles and different colors. You can distinguish easily. But even Yorick who's ghouls were all different colors uses these blue particles. Every champion looks the same and even the new client overuses blue. This is something that can be seen for yourself.

Its simply that Blue is associated with a lot of things.

Blue is often the color of magic and the supernatural in general(most notably with Ryze and Xerath),but it is also associated with high-tech(which is likely why Camille has some blue on her too),the color of ice(which is why a lot of freljord champions use it) and it seems to be associated with the curse of the shadow isles(the crest of the shadow isles is blue, hecarim is blue, kalista is blue and yorick has a blue tone as well) which makes sense since blue is a very cold color, thus fitting for the curse of the dead.

Though I am not sure how Karma is blue in your opinion considering that her entire outfit has not a single shred of blue on it and only her W has some blue in its spell effects(and even then it starts off as green and changes to blue after a certain amount of time).

And honestly I don't feel like blue is taking the overhand,I mean we also got Ivern Taliyah Kled Jhin this year who all don't use blue at all.

Not to mention that there is certainly no shortage of purple either. Alistar Caitlyn DrMundo Jax Kennen Khazix Morgana Malzahar Skarner Varus Talon Velkoz Syndra

I'd say that, thematically, it has to do with how the whole theme(s) of "undead" spirits (Karthus, Yorick, Hecarim, Kalista) as well as "mystical"/"mythical"/cosmic spirits/beings (Kindred, Illaoi's Nagakabouros, Shen's abilities, even Aurelion Sol) usually revolve around the artistic choice of blue hues (With some exceptions like Bard, whose colors are warm). I'm pretty sure that this is one thing those kind of beings tend to feature & have- A thing team Foundations at Riot has probably decided on a while ago.

So yeah, it's kind of bound to the lore, in my view.

Although, we do get some Bards and Kleds in-between the Feeling Blue crew. :^P

######I will write this DISCLAIMER, though, that I'm actually far from opposed towards both warm colors and cold/blue ones in the game, even if one is noticeably dominant over the other. Still, I do understand how it could be/is considered an issue (hence my little paragraph above), and it's actually some food for thought, this whole topic.

So true....I am so tired of seeing the same ghostly blue theme. Its becoming so repetitive that the originality that each champion is suppose to express is being tainted. What happened to the variety of the game? The color, the uniqueness...all gone :(
