What makes a Good Emote? What are your favorites?

Whether you like how the emote works as a whole or whether you like to spam it lane, give the animation team some love and say why you like your favorite emotes!

Personally my favorite ones are: 's dance of MAXIMUM DISRESPECT: Incredibly funny when your an unkillable tank God 's anti-gravity axe spam: Repeat Garen 's infinite splash attack spam: Something about the huge animation being spam is pleasant to the eyes. and 's arm twitch spam: Lets just leave Xerath to his private time and not knock on the door.

For me, the best dances prove that a champion was made/remade with love and affection by the respective team.

Take Jayce's "MC Hammer Dance," as an example. The dance is pretty simplistic, but it proves the design team cared about the reference.

On the flip side, Reworked Sivir's "arm wave" dance shows me that the team didn't give two cares about the remake and just finished the bare minimum of work before releasing the "finished" product.

Personally, I hate spamming; it is a shame the entire animation is not permitted to play out and in general it is just annoying.

For me, a good emote is thematically cohesive and fun to watch for enemy and ally alike.

Thresh is an excellent example. Taunting reinforces his twisted affability and sadism. His words are playful, but coming from him, anyone can immediately recognize the promise of cruelty. Taking a "drink" from his lantern only highlights his flippant disregard for the souls he steals.

My favorite is probably BlackFrost Anivia just because laying an egg spam is hilarious

It is without a doubt the Recall animation on Oktoberfest Gragas. The sheer number of times I pretend to recall next to my allies just for the hell of it is mind boggling.

That dance and music.

Spamable emotes are the best in my opinion. So things like Braum 's laugh, Velkoz 's dance and Xerath 's dance.
