I actually hate the new people working on lore and all they have accomplished (WOT inside)

Note: This will be yet another rantthread against the new horrible retcon and the disastrous lore department. Note 2: I apologise for my horribad english, I am a Swedish resident (hence my lvl 9 account here) and therefore there might be some gramatic errors).

Hi players and any lurking reds that might be reading this but will disregard/delete this post as you do with everything which is not praise or fanart. I am writing this as a final goodbye to the lore community, i have enjoyed the journey with you so far, alas, this is my farewell.

I just cant take the pain of seeing my favorite game lore since WC3 get ripped to shreds and the community getting torn apart by incompetent douchebags who somehow landed the job at RIOT.

As a beta player who remembers the old JOJ and the s1 community in all its glory. All the creativity here, the PAGES and PAGES of Jarv/Shyv Garen/KAt fanfic. The amazing adventures of Bandle city, the adventures we wrote, together with the Reds who actually took our advise, and even wrote fanfics themselves OUTSIDE the outstanding JOJ and the champ backgrounds.

Now all of this is gone, what is left is but a pale ghost and i hate the new lore department for it!

Yes HATE is a strong word which i rarely use (if ever), but it is the ONLY thing that describes my feelings right now.

I have no mutual respect for them anymore, since they are compulsive selfish liars with a god complex completely disregarding any feedback they get.

No you are not that good and stop pretending or thinking that you are the next Stephen King etc.

And no!

I** am not qualified to judge you, but the COMMUNITY is!**

And i have seen very very few posts that actually praise you for the glorified chess game you have developed instead of the thriving and unique world we started with.

What you are doing is spitting in the face of the lore people working before you, and even worse you are spitting in the face of the COMMUNITY that pays your goddamn salary. The only thing keeping me right now is that the game finally seems to be going somewhere balance wise, but you alone have almost scared me away.

So yeah, i know you wont care, but i hate you.

Simple and awful as that, you have currently ruined everything i once loved about the lore, the only thing left is that you transform the tragic antihero Viktor to a generic bad-guy like you did with Trundle and im done.

So here' a short list of what i despise:

The Rammus/Cassiopea/Trundle/Udyr/Vladimir/Skarner lores

The REMOVAL of full text lore which happened MONTHS ago with hte promsie of being back up soon(tm) you liars

The entire goddamn retcon destroying the work people had been doing for YEARS (and here you lie again as it has been 6 months, you promised us that the new lore would be up soon (tm)

The fact that you havent touched the lore of champions who DEPEND on the institute of war ... thats just plain lazy

Jaredans latest horrific response where he pretty much says he doesnt give a flying teemos ass about our opinions...

I dont expect a Red to answer, and if you do im sorry for the harsh words but i wont pretend to believe in you anymore, i feel as if you have failed the entire Lol community who has invested in this game throughout the years

TLDR: I really really dislike the new lore department and their changes, you ?

Well, most people on this board SHOULD know who I am (props to DG Ashabel and Sneak Dog, I clash with you guys a lot, but I honestly enjoy it) so I won't give my full spiel. The shortened version is: I honestly think what the Narrative Team is doing isn't bad. The Great Retcon, by itself, wasn't a horrible idea. Maybe its because I was a comic book reader. I'm no stranger to retcons. Lores and worlds come and go. They've given themselves a new start, and they have plenty of potential to work with. The only thing I have an issue with, is the fact is that ALL we have are starts. You can't make a story out of "Chapter 1"s alone. They have a LOT they need to do, and they need to get moving on it. At the least, they need to be able to firmly say "Yes, we ARE working on it.", not dance around the issue. For the moment, I'll side with Riot, but even I can't defend an empty house forever.

Hate is certainly a strong word in this case, too strong.

I will say I don't respect narrative at this point, they haven't delivered anything of real substance. Basically all they give are those summaries that people put on the backs of novels, giving a very vague outline of a possible plot in an attempt to spark some interest. But without a story to preface, a preface is useless.
