Malphite should be a golem from the Voodo Lands!

So with the lore revamp, Malphites already lackluster background now just seems silly.

Instead of trying to explain this Monolith shard from another dimension, how about we remake malphite into a Golem from the Voodo lands which currently has no champion to represent them.

For those of you who do not know, a golem is a being made out on non-living material given life by magic, usually made in clay or rock.

Malphite could be an ancient golem, created eons ago by a powerful voodo-magician, now roaming the swamps as a guardian or terror. It fits his theme visually, it matches his slow speech and powerful moves as golems usually are incredibly powerful but slightly dumb.

I made a short fanfic to show you what i had in mind.

The children were sitting silent at the fire, waiting patiently for the old woman to start the story, the Voodo Lands had many tales to tell, and today they were about to hear one of the most famous. In a tired, dry voice she began:

*"The marsh was silent, despite being in the middle of the day the Voodo lands were shrouded in darkness, a darkness not usually present, but crafted by man. In a circle made out of wooden poles, several priests covered in masks made out of bone were chanting in the forbidden language, calling spirits from the other side for aid. The air was damp and thick with the smell of blood and magic, the fires of the circle danced in an absurd contrast to the immense darkness that surrounded them. Suddenly the chanting intensified, the cloud in the skies growing thicker and even darker than before. Suddenly the sky roared and one single bolt of lightning struck the middle of the circle, jolts of energy danced around the smoking inferno as the lightning, still channeling awoke the marsh itself. Out of the smoke arose a figure of tremendous size, his body a grotesque resemblance of a man, his veins glowing with fire and magic. The golem looked down upon his newfound masters as they gave him his name "Malphite". The years passed by, and the men, despite powerful enchantments one after one fell to the hands of time, but rock is harder then flesh, and the golem lived on.

Without a master it returned to the swamp from which it came, sleeping, for eons, nothing but a legend of forbidden magic and forgotten times. Only to suddenly be awoken by the Arcane mages of the Rune War. Without a master to follow, the behemoth took on his last given task, to defend the Voodo Lands from hostile forces, by any means necessary. In the following years, the legend of the goliath grew, several Noxian and Demacian legions entered the strange lands for its strategic position, never to return. And until this day, the giant still haunts these lands, defending us from harm, a terrible yet necessary guardian from lost times..."*

As the woman finished the sentence the ground shook ever so slightly, the water rippling from the unknown force. And in the far distance of the thick fog a mountain could be seen ... moving.
