I hope the time has come to give us a true deep ocean terror champion

I'm a fan of unexplored and terrifying places in the world. The Void, Shadow Isles, and the horrifying other gods Aurelion alludes to in his VO all get me super pumped for new champions and reworks, I just want some new lore. If you haven't read the Narrative in 2018 post and you're a lore person I recommend you do so, I just wanted to highlight one particular little passage of what Riot said they were exploring in 2018 as well as a loading screen "tip" that appears from time to time.

Exploring "Bilgewater, and the dark, cold seas around it"

And the tip: "The callers of the Serpent Isles sound enormous horns carved into cliffs to beckon forth great sea monsters."

All that I can say is 1) Fuck yes and 2) I really hope the horrors of the ocean are going to be explored now. It's been a minute since we had a truly terrifying monster type champion and I sincerely hope the Bilgewater update will be accompanied by either a monster champ or someone from these mysterious Serpent Isles who know about the ocean. Hopefully Nautilus and Fizz can get an update with them to give us more context. It's honestly really fascinating because even though a lot of the lore still needs to be updated since the retcon, we're starting to get a pretty good idea of the world as a whole and even some of the fantastical things around it. Maokai was born alone on dead islands and made them a paradise, gods like Ornn exist and their lore gives us some great context, Ivern's lore is extremely important and extremely hype as far as some of the super magical elements of the story go, but we don't know jack shit about the ocean even though we know there's a ton of life and we know there's some giant fantasy creatures and gods down there as well. I'm excited to see what we learn.
