She got the space/star motif going on so it would make sense. Also she is technically a satyr which is a part of the Greek mythos which is what targon is based off of. Or at the very least have her tied to both Targon and Ionia like her origin is of targon but ever since she loss connection with the star she reside in Ionia.
I like the idea of her being related/from Targon, but not on Mount Targon. Aurelion taunts Soraka, "Twinkle, twinkle, little star, do you wonder what you are?"
This implies that Soraka does not know of her own origins, as well as implying Soraka is more then what she thinks. Soraka is also the only champion who when Aurelion taunts them, does not look down upon. It doesn't imply he respects her either, but regardless.
The idea of Soraka being one of the original Aspects (Perhaps the Aspect of the Stars even), and not knowing it, would make for a very interesting plot line. Overall, I just hope that Riot doesn't destroy how Humble and Caring Soraka is, and sticks with a plot/story that would do her character right. I like the Tragedy, but I like the Bittersweet tragedy.
I think maybe she should be more like Janna's new lore; a village of poor, starving peasants pray for food and they create the Banana Goddess who saves them the end.
No. Soraka is precious and doesn't deserve to be lumped in with those filthy Targonians.
Honestly I think that it would make sense for Soraka to be connected to Targon and space in some way,but I wouldn't say that she needs to be from Targon.
I mean she could have had a connection with Targon,before she came to the Runeterra and then severed that connection when she got to Ionia(Aurelions sol quote for her sounds a bit like she herself might not know what exactly she is)
I always figured that Soraka is supposed to be a unicorn or possibly a kirin. Both would fit the whole healing motif.

) She would be a spot of levity. (Although if they do I think they will turn her into one of the above) However, given the points Jackalopeer makes, she may not be an aspect, though I agree that her being an aspect (as much as I hate new Targon in general) may be interesting... in an desk slamming way for me, but maybe anyone who actually likes the new targon lore it will be awesome.
