A theory about Nasus.

We know that after Shurima had fallen Nasus put himself into exile.During his self-imposed exile, he wandered in the sands for centuries. Now, that seems boring even for an Ascended being. In his splash art, we see some bandages been torn apart around him.My theory implies that he used these bandages to wrap himself around and take a nap for some centuries until he is awakened (possibly) by scavengers.

What do you think?

Actually those bandages are likely from his preascension, where he was fatally ill and wrapped around in bandages. He just left them on,after ascending, probably as a reminder of the past.

I think he spent the years studying the Ascension ritual to learn what exactly Xerath had become, and how to defeat it. He had planned, at first, to reopen the Tomb of the Emperors to rescue Renekton once he had learnt how to defeat Xerath, but as he studied he realised that the Magus was literally godlike and that the Tomb would have to be sealed forever, thus leaving Renekton to his fate.
