Surviving in Noxus | /dev diary - League of Legends

This is pretty much what I've always wanted Noxus to be. They were previously my least favorite faction because they struggled to be more than convenient villains. (need someone to kill your parents for a backstory? Noxus got it covered!)

The idea of them being a meritocracy makes them a lot more interesting, as not only does it give them good qualities, like general inclusiveness and cultural freedom, it makes their evils a lot more sinister and less cartoony. You can be a great soldier in Noxus! (if you survive being drafted from childhood )

It keeps the spirit of the city-state alive while adding some new plot hooks for old characters like Darius and LeBlanc. I do wish we'd gotten to hear more about what the deal with Marcus DuCouteau is, but for now my Unsolved League Mysteries folder remains about as full.
