So Dianna now fights the Void

Is there a factoring into this story somewhere? A man who's sole dedication is to fighting the void. Surely he must must be related to this situation. Possibly he was a man who was once just another soul living on Targon. But instead of being bless by the celestial beings of the mountain, he was cursed by the horrors of the void.

Or maybe he is a survivor from one of the other civilizations that the void consumed. Forever wandering the void in search of his daughter. Then one day he discovers an exit from the void onto Mt. Targon.

Is he one of the hidden icons? Or a tale for another time?
