@Riot, Let's Talk About Story, And Lore Releases

Riot, I must say, I really like the awesome lore you've created for the champion's within this game lately.

As much as I loved the old lore, I'm starting to see the wisdom of your decision, and the incredible scope that you're trying to have the retconned lore cover.

Riot, I think you are currently doing one thing really well that the old lore didn't. You are establishing awesome foundations for champion lore that set's Runeterra up to be a really interesting place.

BTW, it would be awesome to have an actual updated map of Runeterra so we could see the geographical aspects of how factions interact....

That being said, the current lore is critically lacking in a way that the older nailed:

Descriptions of the random antics of the Champions within the League of Legends and how they interacted with Runeterra on a day to day basis just don't seem to be a part of Riot's current lore direction. I used to love that suff.

I think that it's a shame that Riot just doesn't seem interested in producing that kind of lore anymore. Heck, they stopped producing the only source of lore capable of achieving that kind of lore that we had: The Journal of Justice.

There still hasn't been a suitable replacement.

It's been a long time since we've heard about anything like Morgana's bakery or Blitzcrank's fleshling compatibility service :(

Event lore is cool and all, but I still remember the story of Jax and Gragas getting drunk and wrecking up a bar more than I remember the Freljiord event.

It would be awesome to have more lore about the champion's personal lives that don't necessarily have any world significance.

The old lore not only told us about how the champions interacted within the league of legends, but we also used to hear more about each champion's personal life. I miss that.

My point is, bi-weekly lore needs to come back, even if it isn't story heavy.

It made LoL lore awesome back in the early days, and it can again, assuming Riot is willing to support it as much as they used to.

I think the old lore and the new lore are entirely compatible. Rather than removing the JoJ and champion judgements, just add the new types of doing lore.

The biggest problem I see is not the day to day life in the Champions, it's more of the tying it all together. The old lore had the League, but so far, I'm not seeing anything tying it all together, so that we can believe this is all in the same world, and the effects from the various events are rippling out, affecting each other.
