Riot refuses to refund the horrible updated Fiora skins

"Starting with Karthus's update, we no longer provide refunds for visual or gameplay updates. Our goal is to be more transparent with these updates so you'll know well in advance what sort of changes you can expect in a Champion. You can find out about upcoming updates here (link)" - this is what I've received in the support ticket.

Holy cow I didn't even notice how awful the new fiora's in game model is..I knew the splash was worse but DAAAMN. They need to fire whoever did this. They turned a young duelist searching for a worthy opponent into an old hag that things everyone is a bad grandchild and needs a beating.

I personally think the majority of the skins they updates are a huge improvement upon the old ones. In both quality and the amount of details added to it.

There's nothing wrong with a "middle aged" champion. There's something wrong with taking something that exists and altering it in a way that the majority of users who are accustomed to said "something" cry out that they don't like where this is going.

I would appreciate it if you focused more on the issue that many people are not happy with how Fiora looks, and focused less on

"how you cant bone off to one less overly sexualized female character"

The reason he said that point is because a ton of people are complaining simply because the new Fiora isn't pretty enough, which is a stupid reason to be complaining. I understand if you don't like some other changes, but to the people complaining simply because she isn't pretty in her new splash really need to change the way they think.

Your opinion isn't the only one here. On the boards there are probably more people who are for the old ones, but in game and in most other places people prefer the new things to the old. The only reason it looks so bad on the boards is because people come here to pretty much say what they don't like.

TL;DR

Boards is probably less than 3% of the player base so people here are probably a small minority who don't like the updates.

Just saying, that policy has been around for a LONG time and the reason they implemented it in the first place was because too many people abused the refund feature with Support because they had no intention of keeping the champion in the first place. Old news.

The policy was put in place when they knew damn well they were absolutely destroying skins, it started with the Pentakill line. Those were such massive downgrades (except for Karthus who got a new model due to the VU) some people thought they were troll posts and that Riot would never actually destroy anything that badly.

They knew no one would keep those skins after what they did and knew they would continue such trends of that "style" so the policy was put in place. But guess what, if you show you won't put up with this shit and won't take no for an answer they will refund you, at least if it shows that you have a history of making purchases. Make it clear what you paid for no longer exists, therefore you're entitled to your money back.

They want you to spend more money, if you show you're outraged at content being essentially deleted they will refund you that amount knowing it pays off in the long run.

think of it like this, You go with an internet company you seen and liked. You try it and get it and first year it was perfect then some one out buys that company and changes everything. then ur internet is now shitty. People contact support and bitch and do same thing because its not what they payed for in first place. then go take their money else where to another internet company. Similar thing for fiora.

It's happened to me a few times in other games.... but I didn't whine about it, I just left and fugired I had a good time. (Cough age of wushu).

They aren't entitled to give you back your money for pretty much any reason. You can complain all you want, but nothings changing.

Imagine you bought a shirt. It looks sick, flatters your figure, and expresses your own tastes and personality. Then one day the shirt is transformed (I know it's not possible but bear with me). You might have been warned about the change, but you can't stop it or contribute input. The folks changing it have a different opinion on how the shirt should look and fit versus how it did, and suddenly it doesn't fit well, doesn't flatter your figure, and isn't an accurate reflection of your tastes and personality. You don't like it anymore! It's not the same product you spent money on!

Are skins the same as shirts? Hell no. I think they're a pretty silly thing to spend real money on, though I own a few myself (skins, not shirts). But they're both products folks pay for.

shirt u own so anything happens to it is on u after buying it, Skins and champs stay with the official client. so they are somewhat responsible for what happened to what ever u payed for from in past. if they drastically changing it years later, and people not happy should get their money back if they request it. period. Or lose players over time for being ripped off.

Hehehe, I tried refunding my Grim Reaper Karthus after he came out. Got the same ticket. BOY HOWDY did I wish with all my heart that I looked into his rework more thoroughly (primarily the fact that it all looked awful).

If I requested a ticket a week before he came out.. maybe I wouldn't be stuck with his Grim Reaper skin (Which barely resembles a reaper IMO).

I don't know whats going on with this, but I can't help shake the feeling there's something Tumblr related going on here.

yeaaa...they really need to fix the in game models because the first picture, she looks like she had a Joan Rivers-inspired facial reconstruction. In the second picture, it looks like she's bloated really bad. Like, the one on the right is pre-workout/diet/fitness plan and the one on the left is the results of 6 months of grueling fitness.
