What is the point of the game in the lore?

So because Riot is rewriting the lore. They removed the summoners which where not very well thought out but at the same time did fit the game a bit. Now with them gone. I have to wonder what the point of the game in the lore? Right now the game pretty much a big meme in it self when you look at it from a lore point of view. Swan dialing up Jarvin to call for a 30 min truce so they can go kill some noobs in summon rift. Some of the stories are worse then their original counter part. The civil war between Nasas and Renekton gave us hope for more of these Egyptian god character. With Now with Azir lore those hope and dreams come to an end. It a real shame as their some really good character they could have brought over from Egyptian mythology. Kai'sa lore has ruined the void. The old void sounded like the Dormammu Dark Dimension from Mavel comics. Now it just bunch of bugs living under the ground.

Honestly why the old lore was not perfect but it fit the game better then the new stuff. Really wish Riot would have taken what they learned from Dota and just not bothered making a lore for the characters. I do not see many people complains about Dota not having lore and it is a huge game as well.

Old lore was crap cause everything ended with "they joined the league" and htats that. No expansion from that, and no expansion could have been done since characters that joined the league for a specific goal were left in story limbo cause if that story goal was fulfilled, they had no reason to ever be part of the league and subsiquently the game itself. It was limiting, and nonsensical for champions like Kindred or Tahm Kench which would never be able to be captured by the Summoners, nor even be convinced to ever be part of a silly thing like the institute.

Also Nasus was from a random dimension and joined the league just cause, and Taric was from a random kingdom and joined just cause. It was so hammy and story tropes were so one dimensional (Noxus the bad guys, Demacia the Good guys).

Again, the old lore was bad, Im not sorry it was scrapped.

If a game does not care about the lore of their characters, the characters become generic as hell, sure, Dota is a good game, but you cant compare their Heroes to characters like Jinx and Tracer who have better lore than... ehh... "Anti-Mage", i mean, just look at the name of the characters of Dota, those names are generic and boring in my oppinion and a big reason of that is because they dont care about their lore.

In the end I think it's hypothetical encounters and interactions. Basically one big setting for lore nerds to roleplay in. Fanfic fuel.

Well some people play because of lore...Also the new lore is getting waaay better then the old "lore" which just few lines of texts and if you think that is better then what are we getting now.....
