Is Swain still the leader of Noxus?

So I was discussing with a friend what Hogwarts houses all the League champs would fit into (don't ask). We had Vel'Koz and Heimer in Ravenclaw, we lamented the fact that Garen obviously went to Gryffindor with pretty much every other Demacian (Quinn probably would be more of a Hufflepuff) and pretty much all of Noxus (with the possible exception of Riven) would go to Slytherin.

But then I asked "Would Swain go to Slytherin or to Ravenclaw? I figure, while he's certainly not the most intelligent champ in the League, he is close to if not the most intelligent human champion." My friend countered with "But all that stuff he did to become Grand General? That's some Slytherin type of stuff." "Yeah but did any of that happen now that the IoW is gone? With no IoW and no League of Legends, is there still a nexus in Kalamanda? If so, when Demacia and Noxus both move in for it, do they still hold off on fighting since the League doesn't exist to govern them and provide non-violent resolution? Did Boram Darkwill still get assassinated?"

TL;DR With the IoW retcon, how do we explain Swain's ascent to power? Without the chaos Kalamanda caused, Swain assassinating Darkwill would draw much more attention than I'd think he'd want.

I think they're working on an explanation; I feel like it's still slippery like before, and he's involved with the Black Rose more than before, I believe. But Darkwill wasn't assassinated I don't think.

He is still the grand general, this got revelaed on the Sion-teaser site, where Swain talked about how all of Borams stuff now belongs to him(he also talks with leblanc about a charade that needed some of J4s blood, which hints at the kalamanda conflict, where J4 supposedly attacked swain without provocation)

So overall it looks like Kalamanda is still canon, only skarner isn't from there(at least it looks like that,I mean it is possible for skarner that he moved to shurima after he was reawakened there) and the ending played out in a different way,but with the same end results.

On the side topic of Hogwarts houses, my friends and I made a quick way to sort characters from other stories into them.

Gryffindor: I should do the helping so others can stand back.

Ravenclaw: No no, that's wrong, you obviously need my help.

Slytherin: You helped? Ha, I need no one's help.

Hufflepuff: I'm helping!

Whichever one of those best fits a character is probably right. When it comes to Riven, it depends on when in her story we're doing the sorting. Pre-Ionian War she's Slytherin; she loves Noxus and everything it stands for. "Might makes right" and the weak should stand aside while the strong rise to glory. There are no handouts or coddling. The Ionian slaughter changed her view though, and she'd likely be Gryffindor if sorted afterward, though Ravenclaw could be argued for. She sees flaws in her motherland, and takes it upon herself to change it. She knows it's a long and possibly unattainable victory, but she strives on knowing she's the best gal for the job because she's the one strongest enough to try.
