@Riot, What Is The Significance of Summoner's Rift Post Retcon? Is Immersion Important to RIot?
What's the story driven reason that this is the battlefield that champion's most often do battle on?
Why there?
Is there still a story driven reason why Summoner's Rift is special, or is it just some random place that doesn't exist in Runeterra where champions battle in a non-cannon universe.
Seriously, if that was the case, it would be pretty sad, considering that would mean that you threw away a creative story driven reason for the battles on Summoner's Rift, in favor of a non-cannon "what if" reason for them.
Do you guys know what one of the most important aspect of a game is? Immersion!
Why does the narrative team seem to be trying so hard to remove immersive narrative concepts from the lore ( like the concept of Summoners) that made random LoL games much more immersive (lore wise)?**
In my opinion, one of the greatest strengths LoL had as a MOBA, was how immersive Runeterra's lore was.
So far, I haven't seen any positive changes that come close to making up for all the negative changes caused by the lore retcon.
If the negatives of the retcon outweigh the positives, then it stands as a really dumb idea. It should be undone.
