Hi Boards! Today I just want to share this wild, random theory that I had yesterday. It kind of makes sense bit it's really, really stretchy and there are a few holes, but still I think it's worth sharing. Leaving a small TL;DR (I'm super bad at those though so feel free not to check it) under spoiler tag -

Kayle will come back to Demacia to do her smiting stuff. Morgana will meet her in the skies because she is spiteful and bitter. Sylas, with his power, may be able to take control of the magic flowing inside Galio's body, and thus control the colossus's limbs. That's a way for him and his rebels not to get rekt instantly by a giant statue. Upon seeing Sylas going full REEEE at Demacia with Galio, Kayle and Morgana would have to unite to protect the kingdom that raised them, giving Galio, Kayle and Morgana a place in the rebellion without being Deus Ex Machinas.

Without further ado, let's get into it!

##Kayle, The Righteous

So let's start with Kayle. What about her? After she fled to the Celestial Realm, she never came back (at least not to our knowledge). Morgana's bio hints that, with Sylas's rebellion, Kayle will come back.

Bitter, betrayed, she bides her time in the kingdom’s shadows, knowing with certainty that Kayle’s light will someday return to Runeterra, and all will face her judgment.

As magic begins to rise again, Morgana sees that dawn is nearly upon them.

Now we're getting in uncharted territories. During K&M's AMA, Jellbug told us this -

Kayle would have a lot of Thoughts on modern day Demacia. I think she would believe they have twisted a lot of the original ideals that made them great, and taken them to an extreme. She would also take issue with Demacia's recent lawlessness and chaos with Sylas' escape.

So what does that mean? When Kayle comes back, she will most likely smite everyone. Okay I'm exaggerating, but Kayle herself says "You Demacians have lost your way," hinting that if she comes back, she won't just "execute judgement" on the mages.

######Morgana, The Fallen

And when Kayle comes to smite everyone... Who will meet her in the skies (again)? Her sister Morgana.

Now, I know there is a lot of concerns about Kayle being the "bad" sister and Morgana being the "good" one. So when I say it like that, it kind of sounds like Kayle just wants to kill everyone, and Morgana will just appear to save the day. Which is why I think Morgana should meet her in the sky not out of heroism, but out of spite and bitterness, accusing her sister of everything, etc, etc. Naturally, they would fight. Now I know nothing says that Kayle and Morgana would fight if they were to meet again (actually, nothing says they will meet again... But come on Riot don't do that to me D:), but I do think it's the most logical thing that could happen, they won't kiss and make up right away.

Without any transition, let's move on to Galio and Sylas, I'll come back on K&M later!

##Galio, The Colossus

So, Galio... A huge statue shaped by Durand a long, long time ago.

Made out of Petricite (and probably some other weird shenanigans), Galio stands next to The Great City of Demacia, waiting for magic to give him life once more... And, quite conveniently, there's an "army" of mages out there, ready to set Demacia on fire...

What does that mean for Galio? It means that he will probably awake if the rebels come near the capital... But it begs the question, how could they ever defend themselves against Galio? He's enormous, and can crush them quite easily. And although he may not want to because they are Demacians, if they start killing people, Galio wouldn't just stand idle (... Get it? Galio, stand idle...? Okay fine, let's move on...), which brings me to my next point...

#Sylas, The Unshackled

Sylas. Born with the ability to see magic in people, and the power to absorb and redirect it, he is the leader of the mage rebellion.

When he was imprisoned, Lux had the brilliant idea (Lux... Brilliant... Okay I need to stop this) to bring him one of Durand's books... Which is how Sylas learnt that petricite absorbed magic, and that he could harness the power kept inside of it due to his peculiar powers... But he also learnt about Galio - The wonderous Galio. Yes...I've read all about you.

Needless to say Sylas knows about Galio. And while I don't think Sylas is the smartest strategist of all time, I would assume he has a plan to counter Galio, 'cause otherwise... You know, his little rebellion would get crushed quite easily.

So hear me out. What if Sylas had the ability to take control of Galio? Wait what? How? Let's see... Sylas being Sylas and doing his Sylas business, coming into contact with Galio, could be able to harness the magic flowing inside Galio to manipulate his limbs. Just so we're on the same page, I don't know if Sylas can do it, it's just a theory. It would be difficult because DUH it's a whole mountain of magic-filled petricite... But just picture it.

Okay but now it's just the other part of Demacia that is screwed, that's not helping... You just wait.

######Kayle and Morgana, The Winged Protectors

During their AMA, Jellbug said this -

You hit the nail on the head! Kayle and Morgana definitely still have love for each other, even if it's buried under a lot of emotional baggage. If they were to meet again (which I think they should!) they both would need the humility to admit their mistakes. Perhaps this would happen if they encountered a common enemy...

So I thought, and thought... And still couldn't figure it out. Of course a common enemy could bring them together again, but what enemy in Demacia would be powerful enough to force Kayle and Morgana to fight as allies?

That's where everything ties in together. Kayle and Morgana grew up in Demacia. And while they may have issues with how current Demacia works... Imagine a deranged revolutionary going berserk at the kingdom you grew up in with a gigantic statue. What would you do? Fight him.

What I like about this whole messy theory is that it allows Sylas not to have his rebellion crushed in a second by Galio, and it also allows Kayle and Morgana to have some development in their relationship. It also gives Galio, Kayle and Morgana a place in the civil war that won't make them instant Deus Ex Machina where they can just come in and stop the rebellion in a snap because of how powerful they are compared to the others.

I don't think that Sylas has enough power to not only control but even survive being that close to Galio.

Lets not forget that Galio IS petricite and I believe that Sylas chains cannot withstand the same amount of magic that Galio feeds on.

I think the only thing this is missing is that Morgana pities Sylas, they should have some deeper interaction at the beginning. What if Morgana somehow gives Sylas the tools he needs to start his revolution. It works within the frame of her character as the "empathetic side of justice". She feels like the mages of Demacia have suffered at the hands of their societies laws, and she sees violent upheaval as the only have for them to have retribution. Of course the oppressed when given the chance will often BECOME the next generation of oppressors and after watching the mages of Demacia go full Daenarys Targaryen on Demacia she tries to stop what she set in motion.

I like this because it gives Morgana a flaw. Kayle is the non empathetic side of justice, she only feels the "bad sister" because blind justice is supposed to feel that way. In this version of the story Morgana is given equal consideration because her empathetic justice which had good intentions, but isn't as well thought out makes things worse.
