The next VGU poll: Confirmed potential options

Hello everybody!

Reav3 just confirmed that the next VGU (yes, VGU with big G, no level updates here) Poll's candidates that are being considered right now in addition to ( is probably getting her VGU started sometimes before the next poll.) So without further ado, the candidates which will get reduced to 3 in the end are: : A champion who is confirmed to need level of work, he is most likely going to be featured due to this factor. : Riot does not think of her as that much of a high priority, but they are considering putting her in, to test community reaction, plus we need Valor back. : Is on a similar boat as in terms of gameplay changes size. : He just got some gameplay tweaks and focus is said to be more on visual than gameplay, I seriously doubt he gets to be the third deserving. : A character who is very generic and has room for improvements in all aspects. He needs to really feel like an undying juggernaut that is too strong to just fall in battles. : He has massive potential (literally) with the kaiju archetype, and he is the best representation of the Void, he deserves to recieve 10 year worth of technology's advancement in his visuals.

Which of these 3 deserves to be featured?

Cho definitely needs to get a VGU sooner than later. He literally looks like a child's drawing of a monster that they put in the game, and it's terrible. He's not intimidating. He vaguely sounds scary. He desperately needs to be brought in line with modern aesthetics.

My thoughts on each of those: Skarner is repeatedly mocked for being a really unpopular champion. His lore is already pretty great though and I think he has one of the most fun ultimates in the game. I really like his design though, so I hope that they wouldn't change him too much and I'd like him to stay inhuman looking(there are far too few monster champs that are from runeterra itself). I do hope that the details about his race could be changed a bit though, having them all as crystal scorpions means that we'll likely never see another brackern as a champ, so I'd hope that they loosen the design-philosophy of the brackern a bit to allow for more potential champs.

Quinn Another champ who always felt quite underwhelming and rushed. Honestly a VGU could help her stand out a bit more and incorporate Valor better, but I don't think much else would change about her, the gameplay side is the one that really needs the update, the visuals and theme are pretty ok.

Rammus I'm kinda afraid of his update. While I'd definitely like him to get a more engaging playstyle I do love his simple design and hope that it wouldn't change too much. I'm also not sure what I'd think about a potential lore update for him, I feel like he should remain kind of a joke and feel a bit random, but I know thats not enough in the long run.

Shaco I'd be really happy to see him get a VGU. His current playstyle feels rather off and there is just so much they can do with an evil trickster like him. I'd be also very interested in seeing what they'd do with his story, he could finally be more than just "random murder puppet encounter".

Olaf To be honest Olaf feels like a pretty boring choice, but thats mostly because I feel like Olafs theme isn't that interesting either. Olaf is basically just "the viking" champ and his lore doesn't really promise much more than that either, so I dunno if he has as much potential as Volibear.

Chogath my personal choice for a VGU. Most champs on this list feel like side characters in their factions, but I always felt that Cho'Gath should be a major player in the void lore, yet he hasn't any lore at all. I'd be really interested in seeing how his design turns out and how they incorporate him growing bigger in both his lore and gameplay.

I choose olaf because I once encountered a person who was in love with the champ and desperately wanted a VGU for him

The Champion Roadmap is also tomorrow. With Fiddlesticks and Volibear obviously being the focus. There's also gonna be three new champs on it. 1 of which is Senna and the other 2 we aren't sure about will simply be short teases that tell us what class they are, maybe what region and a little hint at what the gameplay hook may be.

I think they should've added Shyvana to the list... she won the poll in China and where's Nocturne???

Quinn and Rammus are nowhere near the level of the above two in terms of needing a VGU
