Do the symbols on the rift and other maps actually mean anything?

I was wondering if the symbols are just a bunch of random strokes, or if they could actually be used to make alphabets and fonts used for lore. I noticed that the symbols vary widely. Velkoz Vel'koz, for example, displays some sort of language in one of his taunts, but although his classic and Battlecast skins display the same looking text, his new Arclight skin shows something entirely different. I think it would pretty sweet if the community or, with little hope, Rito, made something out of them to add something tangible to lore. Maybe even several different alphabets/dialects depending on the region or affiliation based on the lore. Also, an esoteric way of communicating between such a huge population of league of legend gamers would not only be neat in itself, but could also be used for fan art, concepts, and other community creations.

Most likely doesn't.

Since Riot is not known to have the story telling skill of From Software where they can effectively use environments to tell stories, so it's most likely just some artist's way of signaturing "I did this" or a symbol he came up with but doesn't really mean a whole ton to the game.

Most symbols are around or facing the river while the symbols themselves look like an oversimplified version of Baron's main head so immo it's prob just a nod to the lore where Baron is the king of the river on the rift, showing his dominion over it.

It would be cool to make a language out of it. As far as I know it is not one as of yet. The only problem would be in if the runes are repeated or not. If they aren't it makes it a bit difficult to imagine continuity.
