Besides the whole supernatural thing, no human can outrun a wolf if the wolf is chasing. Humans are built to run down prey long distance just from shear endurance, but when chased we stand a better chance fighting than running.

Maybe a human can outrun Lamb, but no one can outrun Lamb's arrow or Wolf.
