@Riot, I'm Very Scared To Ask This But...Who Is Retconned Jax?

I am a player who is very scared of how the retcon may ruin his character.

The Institute of War was a central part of his character's core theme (which is supposedly going to be respected), and the length of time it is taking you guys to retcon him is making me worry.

I could be wrong, but I would assume that he would be one of the first champions you guys would have retconned as his lore is one of the most closely tied to the Institute of War.

Assuming you guys are trying to nip things in the bud early.

The fact that his inevitable retcon is taking so long is starting to feel like a kind of torture....I'm just waiting for his character to be changed into something without the same feeling and heart that Jax had.

Riot please, if it has to happen, let it happen quick. Hit us with the Jax retcon, let us know the damage.

I really must wonder why Jax fights with a lamp post now. if he's retconned, why would anyone of his skill use a stupid lamppost...

New lore goes like this:

Jax entered onto non-summoners rift and met Rammus. Ok he said and grabbed a nearby lamp post because mystery. Why has he come here? Only thyme will tell.

I'm not a rioter, and I have no idea if they'd see this, but just for the sake of discussion, what part of Jax's character, personality, and motivations do you like, and hope they keep in his (Sadly inevitable) lore update?

Then on the off-chance they do see this thread, they might keep it in mind when working on him.

The official site lists him as an ionian,so I guess thats where he is gonna live.

I guess Jax could turn into something like a wandering warrior for hire(remember he was a mercenary before he joined the league),who mastered every weapon and thus started to put a restriction on himself to fight with a lamppost.

Alternatively he could have participated in some kind of arena battle(Maybe even in the noxian arena?),where he was so good that he got the lamppost as a restriction.

Kayle Morgana Fiddlesticks Nocturne Are all pretty heavily Institute reliant lore wise. I forsee Jax being kind of the Draven counterpart. Like Garen vs Darius You'd have Jax vs Draven Both being heavily motivated by the crowd, or Roman tournament style fighting. Fighting to be the best/most loved. Good, but also kind of show-offs/over confident in their own battle skills. (btw- in old Lore, Jax was limited in his weapon choice, but they then removed the restriction, he chose to keep using the broken lamp post as a weapon to say f@#k you Rito, I don't need a weapon to be the best.)
