Riot's Narrative Department's Involvement with it's Community, or Lack There Of.
I'm shocked that Riot is ignoring most of the popular anti lore-retcon threads. After so many views and upvotes on threads criticizing, and pretty overwhelming supporting the removal of this retcon, I find it is a mystery why Riot isn't addressing some of the most popular threads in support in support of removing the retcon.
Let's look at the current situation, when it come to RIot's community involvement with lore.
They won't even tell us who is in charge of the Narrative department.
Compare that to the Riot of years ago, when we could directly consult Rioters in charge of their departments who would answer our questions.
We at least knew who to talk to about different problems.
Now Riot seems to have cloistered off its narrative department.
Back in the day,
Rioters who actually had something to add to the conversation would post, rather than having red comments just say "I can't comment on this since I'm from a different department".
To be fair, Riot posts seem much less common than they used to. Rioters are probably getting more restricted on how they post.
It wouldn't be inconceivable that Rioters are now restricted about what they post.
Heck, with RIot growing as a corporation, it would be expected.
Such a shame. Riot's strength used to be its community involvement, but due their size, they seem either unable or unwilling to provide the community interaction that sold most of us on their game.
If this continues, LoL's dominance as the most popular moba will be in danger. Heck, it already is.
If other game companies are providing games which stay faithful to their lore, rather than retconning their lore as convenient, how will LoL prosper long term?
It seems as late, that LoL is growing less important as a game. I feel that may be do to their decisions about lore.
Post retcon, I feel much less compelled to play this game , and am way less interested in Runeterra.
Although that's just me, one player. Upvote if you feel the same way.
