Ekko's skin colour

I was looking at his model and I realise that he's still new but I was slightly disappointed. He has an ... interesting design. His splash art makes him look slightly dark but in game he looks... purple. He did look purple in the splash slightly but I figured it was due to lighting.

So what I did is a very, very quickly painted over his skin to try to make it a little closer to the skin colour he appeared to have in the splash.

Or rather... not so... purple.

Otherwise he olooks pretty good - just needs a skin tough up!

To me, in the Splash, his skin tone looked around this shade: http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/black-guy-1657919.jpg (sorry about the watermarks)

Granted, that dark might not work too well in game - since it gets harder to see textures among other artsy related things that i both know about and don't at the same time. (I draw, so I have minor knowledge about art, colouring, and how colours work on backgrounds and lighting.) Its possible that with SR's lighting that colour might not show up too well.

I feel like switching his skin colour to Karma's default (or remake of her traditional) would be a fair change. Light enough to show up well, dark enough to look how he should. (Black and not like he has a sunburn or something) http://team-dignitas.net/uploads/tinymce/images/new_karma_skins_%28pose%29.jpg

or even a couple tones darker/more desaturated.

IDK, I feel like his skin colour needs some work and I hope it gets looked over.

I think as far as representation of skin-tones and realism go, your rework is great. That being said, the rest of his clothes need to be more saturated to match these changes; this, in turn, might change his entire visual identity (being washed out generally suits time-mages across genres). Hopefully there's a way to make his skin less purplish without having to revise him as a whole!

I agree, his current skin color looks off like he was deemed a racist character and they did the jinx treatment, he needs a more natural skin color,
