Just a thought on Galio

I really like where Galio went in terms of story and character, and I feel it was largely faithful to the important archtypes and themes. I am unhappy that a really cool niche in archtype is unfilled. Specifically, Galio being sad. There's hints of that in his character now (He's uncomfortable with how mortals all die, and how he only rarely wakes), and again, it's handled well, but as an archtype, I feel "The Sorrowful Sentinal" is gone from league. Maokai is too angry; Amumu doesn't protect things; Garen is burdened, but not sad or alone; Malphite's lore is undeveloped; Shyvana's focus as a character is too much on other internal conflicts; and so on. I really hope this place is filled, because it was sort of cool.

Now I haven't read his lore yet so I might have to retract this judgement, but I agree that Galio appears to have less emotional depth than before.

In-game, he seems to be a typical 'enforcer of justice' that lacks complexity in emotions and character.

Have you read Zac's new lore? I think he fits this archetype pretty well.
