@Riot, How Do You Plan To Satiate Players Who Hate The Retcon?
How will you adjust the lore direction to keep those players happy?

Most likely they won't adjust their direction,but will simply try to give us some good lore eventually.
There is no point in going back before they weren't even able to do anything with the Retcon.
Also emphasis is here on try,if they actually succeed (and when we are finally getting some lore at all)is a completely different matter.

There is no lore or have you not noticed the last 3 champions got like three sentences to explain their backstory that all basicially just says "insert champion" showed up and is now in the league now enjoy cinderhulk!
Well they could always do the sensible thing and just realease a batch of new champion judgements.
I really, really wanna see Kalista's judgement.
I really wish instead of retconing everything, they had the Institute of War either disband, be destroyed, or simply vanish from the world. This would have the story be mostly in the same place we have currently, but without the need to retcon so many stories that were connected directly to the IoW and Summoners, like Jax, Lee Sin, and Ionian Boots of Lucidity to name a few.
This also opens up new stories as Demacia, Noxus, Shurima, and all the other city states new and old have to deal with the loss of the super major power that kept balance on the continent and impending threats like the Harrowing.
This also explains why Bard has suddenly appeared after being gone for ages. Without the IoW to force balance, the world shifts quickly towards utter annihilation.
Going from the past few years, I'd say their plan is complete silence.
Yeah just take a break from time to time and come back refreshed and hopefully spam less.
Back end of thread it gets much nicer and good stuff going back and forth.
I'm going to go ahead and assume they're not. People who care about the lore are already a minoirty. People who care enough to be continuously vocal are an even smaller group. From any perspective, its not logical for them to adjust on a larger scale for a few people, especially given the lack of payoff.
They are not going to change directions and have no need to. Riot can afford to ignore 1% of the player base, esspecially when they are not worried about the important part "the game"
