Lore enthusiasts! I'm interested in your feedback.

Okay kind of a tacky title I know but hopefully you'll still hear me out.

I've been somewhat recently working on fan sketches; depicting various non-champ characters from League's ever expanding lore. I've come here as a second attempt to get feed back for my current work, as the individuals over at Concepts & Creations aren't necessarily the right kind of people for my kind of questions.

My new project in particular is a character I've been dying to understand more of since my very first interaction with League's narrative. The former Grand General Boram Darkwill. But I've had a few set backs over the process of doing my sketch and have created a thread asking the community for possible feed back on what direction I should take and whether or not the work I've done so far looks like it could be Boram? Any way read the post to find out more if your still interested. Here is the thread link.

BTW a few months back I did a sketch of Saito Takeda who I assume most of you would know as Zaun's most infamous Chem-Baron! I realize that this seems like some kind of shameless self-promoting but I only shared my work in the first place so others could appreciate or criticize... what ever floats ya boat.

Nice. It's nice to know that people care about the world of League, and not just the champs all the time. Keep going dude, I actually like this.

If you're working with Boram Darkwill, I'd try taking a look at some of the older JoJ images. Almost all of them are pretty much certainly non-canon anymore, but issue 23 has his weirdass horse things, which have a lot of ornate gold and dark green tints. Pretty much all of Pre Retcon Noxus imagery shares a somewhat flamboyant "evil" aesthetic. You've got the helmets that cover the faces in shadow with the red glowing eyes, you've got the entire city being perched on a skull mountain.

The Universe page for Noxus tells a different story, though, with a lot of Roman-esque designs and flat gray colors. It looks more utilitarian and realistic than the older stuff. So part of the hard part of drawing him might be picking which "era" of League lore you're looking to portray. Either could work out well, it's really up to you. Your current draft could probably fit into either portrayal, which is good.

He is a character with very little canon Lore. The only things I can really think of that might help you on an art level are his status as Grand General, meaning maybe the drawing of Swains coronation in JoJ #24 could work as a baseline for clothes/helmet (It looks a lot like Tyrant Swain in game), and him having an adult son, which means he probably looks at least "fatherhood" age. Not that it probably means much to a guy who's over a century old and seems to have stopped aging, but he's probably still not a teen emperor or something.
